Ok guys here is the deal.
I have a 2 story house that is 4 bedrooms that sits on 17 acrs, the house has central heat and air and a shower that will nock your skin off.
I already have a sat. dics installed and a telephone.
Right now i have 2 tracks of land, one is 600acrs and the other is 300acrs.
We killed 10 bucks 8 points or better and 5 of those bucks are being mounted.
I think we killed around 10 does and most were killed during bow season.
I may also have a chance to lease another 400 acrs but want know for a few more weeks.
Im looking for 8-10 guys who would only be interested in hunting with a stick and a string.
I need to act on this as soon as possible because the rent for the house is due in march and if i cant get some guys to come on board i have 2 different friends that i can stay with.
The thing is i really want to keep this house and when you see it you will know why. It has a 3 acr lake 20ft from the porch and is full of bass, catfish and bream.
The land we will be hunting on has been on a 8 points or better program for as long as i have been hunting down there (10 yrs).
Guys there is always land comming up for lease and i have people calling me all the time because i have been hunting down there for so long and they know im always looking to lease some prime property.
Pickens county is full of deer and also has a lot of GOOD bucks running around.

The price will depend on how many hunters i can get to hunt with me.
I will tell you that the rent on the house with the TV and telephone is around $400.00 dollars a month but like i said wait till you see this house.

The town i hunt near is Carrolton and Aliceville and its a 1hr 30 minute drive from Birmingham.
Guys if we could make this happen we would eventually have some of the best land to hunt in these areas.
I talked to a guy last week who owns over 15 thousand acrs in and around thses 2 towns and he told me to call him in June and he would also have land for lease.
One track he has is 1,100 acrs that i leased about 8 yrs ago and we killed 18 rack bucks of that lease.
He hasnt leased it since then and told me i might could have it next year. Let me tell you that property is full of huge bucks.
I just need some help guys to make it happen so please call if you are interested.
Im 42yrs old and just took up trad archery last march and i really want to do this because im addicted to this sport.
I am very easy to get along with but would like to find some guys who are very serious about there hunting.

Hey Chuck you would be a great guy to join in with me and some others.
Not to mention teaching me how to shoot better because you are one of the best trad shooters i have ever seen.
Come on guys this will be a whole lot of fun even if we werent even hunting but the hunting i assure you is fantastic.

I'm certainly interested in an all Trad club. I'm a good ways away but I do travel to Alabama a few times per year.
Got a couple of questions.
Would this also include Turkey and small game? Would those be trad only as well? Do you have an estimate of cost per member assuming you got 10 members?

If we had 10 members the cost would be around $1,200 dollars a year and yes we would have turkey rights and all small game.
I have a buddy that owns 1,000 acrs in Fayett county and he has hogs on his property and we could also do some hunting on his place, especially since we will be hunting the hard way.lol
The thing about it is guys is that we will have chances to lease other properties each year. This is a GREAT chance to get in on something that will be very special and have lots of game to hunt.
I have been hunting down there for years so i know without a doubt how good the hunting is.
I would lease it myself but i just went through a divorce so im playing catch-up right now and i would hate to lose the house and the chances of leasing PRIME whitetail land.
Its really not that much money considering the beautiful house with the lake and the prime land we will be hunting.
Im certain we will all become the best of friends and will probably go on paid hunts in the future. I just cant do it by myself so please if you are interested just a little bit please call me anytime.

I would also like to add that our season starts Oct. 15 and doesnt end until Jan. 31.
If anyone from out of state is interested in joining i live 15 minutes from the airport and im self employed so i could always pick someone up at the airport.
Wouldnt it be nice to have a extra month to hunt in mild weather once your season is over.
You can kill a doe everyday and i think the buck limit is 5 per year.
Again the land that i have leased for sure has been on a 8 points or better for years and we have killed some really nice Alabama bucks off these properties.

Is it 3 bucks Randy in Pickens county, i thought for sure it was 5 but thats not really a problem for me.
I usually dont shoot anything unless its a good size deer.

Sounds like a good deal and a heck of a place...just the wrong side of the state for me...too far of a drive.

Getting closer guys i have 3 people who are in so we need at least 4 more people.

I would have never thought in a million years it would be this hard to get a all trad hunting club together when everthing is already in place.

Cost and location are a big detractor for most. I, probably like most can afford the money, but its not worth it for me hunting wise...driving 2+ hrs to hunt 1 day a week is not "cost effective" for me. I like the idea and the location seems great, its just hard for most folks to swing it.
Good luck with it though, I hope you get stand up members. I might be interested in hunting a weekend, definitely for turkey, adding to the club fund of course, a mini-lease if you will.

Joevan, If I didn't live on the Gulf Coast, I'd be in. For me that would be about a 7 - 8hr drive. I've trucked up thru that part of the state, and you're right about the deer, and the land is beautiful.
If you ever need an IBEP course, just let me know.

I work Mon-Fri, hunt Saturday, Church on Sunday.

For me B'ham is 5 - 6 hrs. I would still love to do it, but my wife's horse business is slow right now and takes both of us to handle it. We don't have any help right now. She shows on the weekends, from Thur and usually gets back late Sun. or early Mon. So theres just now way to make it work, for the time being.

Its around 90 miles southwest of Birmingham between Carrolton and Aliceville.
It wouldnt be that bad of a drive for you guys.

Talked to a guy named Greg last night that said he was very interested and he would do his hunting during the week because he is retired.
Greg is like a lot of guys i have talked to in that he wants to see the land so im going to go over my schedule and pick a saturday that we can all go down and check it out.
Theres no doubt in my mind that the guys who are on the fence will come on board once they see my set-up.

A suggestion, Take and post good pics, also get the gps coordinates for google earth and give them to those interested via pm or email.

Im going to go down the first weekend in March with a few guys that are interested, so if theres some more guys who would like to go down leave that saturday open.
You will be glad that you did that i promise you.

That is the same weekend as TBOF in Florida. We would not be able to make it that would be March 5th 6th and 7th. All the guys I mentionned will be at that shoot as will 400 something other trad shooters. Very interested how far in miles from house you described and Jacksonville? 7 or 8 hours or more I am guessing. Rick J

All you have to do is mapquest the Carrolloton courthouse, the house is only 4 miles from the couthouse.
If you guys are really interested i will meet you down there just about any weekend you want.

A lot of guys are wondering when they will need to pay all the money.
The lease for the land is not due until June 1st but the rent on the house is due the first of March, around $400.00 thats for the house, sat.TV and the telephone.
All i would need right now from everyone is around $200.00 dollars so that would pay for the house through May.
Guys if you really thing about it your only going to be paying a little over $100.00 dollars a month to be a part of this.
Time is running out so i really need to know who is for sure going to do this with me.

Once we get everyone on board we will give our club a name and i will open up a checking account so that we all will know where every cent is being spent.
One guy asked me about the buck potential and how the land has been managed.
Last year we killed 9 big bucks off the property and let a lot of young 8 pointers walk so the bucks are there, the rest is up to us.
We need to act on this as soon as possible because like i said the house rent is due in March and i have already paid Feb. rent.
Im like a lot of you guys money is very tight right now so please if you are interested call me.

Guys i sent the rent in for March and told the guy i was going to have to let the house go.
He really doesnt want me to let it go and told me that he would work with me while i try to find members for this all trad club.
Im going down next weekend which i think is saturday March 12 so if anyone wants to meet me down there please let me know.
If we can get 8 people in it would only cost a little over $100.00 dollars a month to do this so please think about it and give me a call.

I have been talking to a lot of the guys and we have decided since the house wiil sleep 10 people with no problem and most everyone will only hunt about once a month thats what i am shooting for.
That will get the price under $1,000 dollars and with the land layed out the way it is i see no problem in going in this direction.
