Was driving to work this morning at 6:15am and had a nice buck try to run in front of my truck. Both antlers still on. I've noticed this for many years in Randolph County in Southern Illinois where I have always lived. I have seen many bucks with antlers still attached up untill the middle of March. Just passing this on as information as I see a lot of people have been finding sheds in other areas in January already.
Have a good day;
Bob
seen one in ky last year the first week of april with both sides still on!! it was a young deer dont know if that matters!
Oh yeah. I have 3-4 big bucks that visit the backyard that still have headgear. Not uncommon at all to see deer through March still carrying both sides.
Seen one in Iowa on Tue. with antlers.
Early April a few years ago while turkey hunting.
I almost ran over a great buck tuesday morning on my way to work, looked like a big ten pointer.
Our deer down here can carry there horns up till late april.
hmm, last year I got some video of a decent but with his antlers still on and it was late march. Wish I could say the same about this year? Havent even seen any deer around my house!

Was that the buck that kept the 60-80y distance on your Youtube vid?
I have pics of bucks here in GA with racks still on in March.
had my spike and 4 point in the yard this morning for breakfast like normal :) they will stay on for another 2-4 weeks pending on weather patterns. I will assume they will come off in the 2 week range though cause of all the cold and snow we have. They dropped early in MO this year! first of january I had 3 bucks under my stand with no antlers.
North Texas deer seem to keep their racks throught end of March amd most until the middle of April.
Saw two mature bucks here in MN yesterday with both antlers.
I have been seeing alot of bucks here still packing as well. However i did see one from my truck Saturday morning that had just recently dropped it's left side. Another couple weeks and it will be time to start looking hard for them.

I had three diffrent customers tell me, they saw bucks still in velvet in FEB. Whats up with that!
2 years ago a nice 8 was running a doe all over the place near the house the last week of March.I got game cam pictures this week of some small bucks still sporting bone.Got one of a larger deer than had already dropped his.Not all drop at the same time.
Saw several feeding just before dark yesterday. Didn't have the binos in the truck, but at least a half dozen still carrying a full rack. Couple of really nice ones! Not unusual to see racked bucks into March. Mike
I have seen 2 bucks with full racks and 1 with half antler behind my house this week, I have seen them in other years with antlers clear into April,
2 bucks today..full racks
Saw one Monday still had "hawns",no wonder I can't find any sheds. Some of the other bucks in the area lost them a couple months ago.

I haven't seen any bone here in weeks.
I see a few bucks every year that still have their antlers during the middle of March.
As I was cooking on the grill Monday night I let my dog go for a run around my property. She had been gone for a few minutes and returned with a nice four point half rack. She was pretty pleased with herself as she pranced around the garage with the antler in her mouth. I take her with me shed hunting and she normally finds more than I do.

I've seen several still carrying in early April, and when I do most of my serious looking (March) I always see several bucks carrying.
