I was told long ago that it was linen, but I dont really know. I know that some time ago Bear had some problems with it cracking. I have a couple of Bob Lee elites with half phenolic risers, and they have no problems. Really helpful huh?

The stuff that is sold for bow building is the linen. The paper is what is used in chem. labs for table tops.

I sold the paper stuff for a while to schools.

This John Mcdonald (big river bows)has a solid Phenolic riser it's a little heavier than a wood bow but gives less shock and seems more stable.

One of the suppliers to Black Widow, Predator and a few others sells the paper kind, I dont hear of them having any problems with it, for a handle I am sure its fine, I use linen on the tips though.
