I cought the Thunder Stick MOAB fever !
The only cure I could come up with was to visit Jim Reynolds with my tax return !
I have read a lot of good things on this forum about Jim, And I found out everything said was true and then some, He is a first class bowyer.
Dan
best longbow I ever shot. A friend of mine probably got his today. What woods?
I'm glad you figured out the cure right away and as far as I know there's just the one cure.
I thought my medicine would be here today but according to the PO the storms they had up north may have delayed it. Oh well tomorrow is another day and I'm hoping it's "the day".
Did you order one or pick out one he had in stock?
God bless,Mudd
I picked out one Jim Just Finished, I emailled him last week and this was one he was finishing for stock.
Ok, I cannot just post a photobucket link for pics ?

Dan what is your draw for that 60"?
I have a short draw, 26 1/2 inches
OK, where is the post explaining how to post pics, I have dialup and usually just post a link, but that is not working.

Thanks ! It was a pleasure talking to Jim, I can tell you that you are dealing with a first class guy !
Dan
Yep! Jim is a GREAT guy and fine bowyer. If I didn't already own a TIII, I'd certainly be in the ranks of the Moab-ites!!
Daryl
the MOAB is one of my favorites. picked up a used one on the classifieds and very happy i did. the aesthetics of this particular bow (when strung and unstrung) is second to none IMO. the layers of bamboo in the limbs simply top it off as one of the smoothest i've tried.
Thundersticks are like potato chips, you can't stop with just one.
I think I'm coming down with something here.
You know what you've gotta do Dave. You might as well give in to it...lol
Let me know when you wise up and what woods you pick.
God bless,Mudd
Yeah Sure....you might be right, there's only ONE cure...
But only ONE wont cure it!!!
I think I got it cured and all it cost was a black swan. It's funny because I wanted a widow. I still do. I just have been trading and haven't found a bow that I like as well. This new one is only a pound heavier than my old one!
Cool! You will post pictures when you take possession right?
Congratulations!
God bless,Mudd
PS I traded back for my "horse bow". I think I'll just work at shooting it even though it's a heavy weight for me. It fairly spits out an arrow and seems to like a wide range of spine weights too.
The MOAB is one of my favorites, light weight, good looking fast and quiet. Hard to beat.
Its catchy :D
I got the bug last year!
I got the fever too! mine should be ready in september....can't wait! :biglaugh:
Me too Leatherneck! (cough, cough) it is a lingering thing... some days it is better... and some days I don't think July will ever get here.

I would respectfully disagree. There is no cure.
