So I was passing the time in the basement shooting a new to me bow when I hear a loud snap when I drew back. I instinctively released which sent my arrow into some brick and when I looked down and this is my bow. Needless to say I needed to change underwear but luckily it didn't snap all the way through. Sorry for the crappy pictures but I think my hands were still shaking.

That sucks...at least it wasnt an old favorite!
hate that but im glad noone got hurt! :scared:
how new to you was it?
What was the bow?
I bought it 2 days before Christmas and I was shooting pretty good with it. Now when I shoot lousy I can say it's because I don't have this bow.
Predator Man I'm not going to post what bow it is because I have an email to the bowyer right now.
Glad your ok, man that sucks.
Sorry about your Bow,and glad you didn't get Hurt, but are you saying your Underwear were like the pictures,
Kurt
Yes sir, I'm pretty sure I crapped myself!
sorry for your loss I broke one a few weeks ago. Glad you are ok. How is the arrow? Is it gonna make it?
Unfortunately the arrow broke too. The only thing I salvaged was the nock.
Ouch. Good luck with the bowyer. Hap
you were lucky, two years ago I had an old
Howatt High Speed that broke on me at full draw,
The top limb came back and hit me in the forehead
leaving a nasty gash and one heck of a headache
Yes I was lucky, and the bowyer just sent me an email and went above and beyond what I would have expected. There is nothing nicer then getting good customer service.
Good deal that there is hope from the bowyer. I can tell you from experience that not all will honor a "new to me" bow.
Glad you made it injury free.

You know that excuse isn't gonna fly around us! ;)
Seriously though...glad you're ok
Glad you were not hurt, It is good the bowyer is standing behind the bow. Can you tell us what kind of wood it is made of? Had it shown any signs of stress?
I didn't see any signs of stress but I wasn't really looking either and I'm not sure of the wood. And Jimmy I would expect NO excuse would fly around us!
Sorry Stumpsniper, that would bum me out. Glad you are alright.
It sounds like a case of "all's well that ends well". I say we elevate the name of good bowyers that will stand behind their work. If it feels right to ya, I for one would like to know who did you right. I'll add the name to my list of bows to buy. You can probably rest assured he/she probably doesn't have to fix/replace a bow too often.
Look for the TradGang "done ya right" list in PowWow...
I will do that but I'm gonna give it a little time
Please post the Bowyer on the "Done Ya Right" page!!
