Where in tarnations can a man find some Easton 2013's? All of the sponsors that I went to, none offered the 2013's and according to Stu's Spine Calc. I need this shaft for my 45# @ 29" PTF Widow.
Please Help! :help:
FS Arrows shows 2013 XX75. Have heard mixed reviews about them. Maybe someone will know more or another source.
Sent you a PM.
Thanks George.

That's one of the reasons I went with 2213's rather than the usual trad alum in the same spine range, the 2018. I can get 2213's pretty much anywhere, and with uni-bushings installed as I want them. 2018s might as well be extinct up here. I've managed to find one in the last two years which I nabbed for testing. Getting an insert for it? I might as well have been asking for the moon...
13's are really thin walled and will ding and dent just by looking at 'em. i wouldn't care what any 'arrow calculator' sez, too dang fragile.
i'd want at least a 16 wall and 18 would be better still - just go down in shaft diameter. check the easton charts.
In my experience with Widows and alum arrows your going to need something stiffer than a 2013 for that bow.
I would start with a 2016/2114. You may need to go down to a 1916 but I suspect even the 2016 may be a little weak if you are drawing the full 29".

Been shooting 2213's for 20 years with both compound & now recurves with no complaints and plenty of dead critters... :D
Bowhunters Superstore has them and you can buy them in half dozen or by the dozen. Once on the page, scroll on down. I get my aluminum shafts from here too.

Eagle Archery has them, & they even sell individual shafts:

You better buy quite few shafts , that thin of wall will bend and dent just by looking at them, quite a few years ago I tried 2213 in my B.W. bow to gain a little speed, they just did`nt stand up for 3-D or hunting, I went back to 2216,
I've been hunting with a 32", (BOP) 2213 since 1973 out of my recurve bows I've owned since that time. I don't find 2213s to be fragile. I use XX75 and XX78 in Camo Hunters or X7 Elcipse arrows. They do fine on bullfrogs, rabbits, javelina, small feral hogs 200 pounds and under and whitetail deer when I use my 42# recurve. This arrow weighs 555 grains and it's tipped with a STOS 145 grain glue on 2 blade broadhead.
On a sidenote, my 41# longbow and my 37# recurve shoot a 32" (BOP), 2212 XX78 X7 Eclipse arrow. This arrow weighs 519-524 grains with the same STOS 145 grain glue on 2 blade broadhead. The discrepancy in the 5 grains, is because the 37# recurve bow (524 grains) has a fast flight string while the 41# longbow (519 grains) has a dacron string. No problems on whitetail deer.
All of my bows are probably shooting more grains per pound than other people with their arrows.
I use 2013 a lot, and my only challenge is finding swaged nock shafts. Easton blues or Jazz do the job, but if I want the gritty-macho-camo jobbies I have to go to a Uni-bushing. Girlie shafts it is, then!
Killdeer :campfire:
i shoot 2613's aka(patriot missiles)i hit stuff pretty hard with them and they hold up good.you should be able to pick up the size you need at your local pro-shop tw.
? ...are aluminum arrows .."traditional" ! Not trying to start anything ..just a ???
Aluminum arrows go back at least to 1939.What is the cut off date?
YEP
I had the same problem. I went with 1916 Easton Legacy with wood grain pattern. Kustom King has them and will fletch cut and install inserts for ya. Mine shoot great not any different than the 2013 either. Hope that helps.
A good friend of mine has been hunting with 2213s for well over a decade. Two dead moose, six dead bears, and probably a hundred-plus whitetails...yeah, they work. ;)
...As JIMB said ..."what is the cut off date" ???
I like girlie arrows. :archer:
I have to agree with Rob. Maybe I am just hard on arrows, but I betcha I could go through a dozen '13s in less than a month.
Also, Widows tend to take a lot of spine. For me, a 2013 would be way, way underspined. I would start with a 2016 and be ready to go to a 2018.
