Title: Camodip.net is moving to Georgia!
Post by: Blackhawk7204 on February 08, 2010, 07:24:00 PM
Important news! after this friday 2-12-2010. we will no longer be accepting any camo dipping work.
Big Jim's Bow Company has purchased Precision Hydrographics (camodip.net).
I will dip anything that gets here by friday and get it right back to you. After that all orders will be going to Big Jim's in Georgia.
Big Jim will be honoring the Tradgang special.

I will be partnering up with Jim Gainey of  www.blackcreekbows.com (http://www.blackcreekbows.com)

I appreciate the support from Tradgang and all it's members and looking forward to this new adventure.

When you are ready Jim I'll send my Lost Creek for Dip n Grip. That sounds like something you should add to the menu  :)

Big Jim is coming to Alabama this weekend for first hand training and then to move the equipment back to his place. I'll have him dipping like a pro in a few days.

Big Jim is in it for the long haul.  I've always been impressed with his motivation.  He is really a driven man and has the support of his wife working with him.  Chad

I agree with you Chad, I'm driven allright, its a short drive to crazy.

I am shure looking forward to this new adventure and we will extend the same dedication to quality that we put into our bows (and other goods). I think it will go well with what we are already doing and I don't mean roofing. Although, maybe I could sell a couple of predator camo roofs!
In addition to the patterns that lonnie was offering, we will be adding Superflage camo patterns to the line up. It is really some nice stuff too.
I know no one here would use a gun, but we will be offering dipping services for just about anything that will fit in the tank .
I hope to have some information available soon as far as pricing on things other than bows. We will continue to honor the prices that lonnie set for trad memebers too.

As far as the "Dip-N-Grip" goes, the beavers had better watch there tails!!

thanks Ya'll, Bigjim

Jim

Good for you my friend i know that this endeavor will be a success. Everytime i have been around you, you have always been upbeat and eager to help me.

Last year when we met at Tannehill and i told you i was new to the sport your wife helped me for over a hour helping me set my bow up.

I was really impressed that as busy as you guys were that both of you went out of your way to help me.

Joe, you just looked like you needed help! lol

No really, we get great pleasure out of helping where we can, that doesn't mean you can call us to help you move. Not too much pleasure in that.lol
I could have picked lots of differen't avenues for buisness. I have been working with my hands my whole life and find that it comes pretty easy.
I have never gotten more enjoyment than what we get when someone receives there new bow or finally figures out how much better they can shoot with the correct arrows. All it takes is willingness to listen and an open mind. I'm working on that open mind thing.ha ha

Jim are you still working on an updated website?

I know when you're ready, up and running I have a set of Bear TD limbs I want done in a wood grain or burl. I have one set and a Magnesium riser on it's way back right now from Lonnie.

Good luck in your new avenue of service.

Good luck Big Jim. I appreciate your help on the phone last year when you were busy at a big Trad event. Good luck with the new addition. I think the proper name should be the Shazamm! Dip and Grip Special

Mike- no worries, I'm shure we can work things out.
Va bowbender, we are working on the site, and the bow shop, and the new show trailer and the display boards and new inventory and roofing company and now the camo dipping yadayadayada if you get my drift.
My wife and I are trying to put together all of the pics that we have saved and the new pics of bows so we can get them to Todd to build a great site. Unfortunately it will take some time.

Thanks for being patient, Bigjim

Jim, I'm just curious to how many folks work with you.  You mentioned building 200 bows last year, and now dipping?  Do you have helpers in the bow shop?  I really can't imagine that much work for one man, especially this one.   :)

You want to know how Big Jim gets it all done.
If you look in the dictionary under "hard worker" you will see Big Jim's picture.
The man starts work before most people get out of bed and is still going long after others are back in bed for the night.
He works his tail off for success.
I was a hard worker before I retired, but he is a step above my old efforts.

Hello, I just wanted to let everyone know about what kind of service you can expect from Big Jim and company.Last year at the Compton shoot i asked Jim to put a beaver tail grip on my psa x. It was pretty late in the day, he told me to pick wich tail i wanted and it would be a little after closeing time before he would have it done.So after i had my chicken dinner i stopped by his closed tent to find him sweating like only a guy named Big Jim can sweat. He explained that the tail i had chosen was not working out to well. And he would take it to his camp and work on it that night. The next morning after breakfast i stopped in to pick it up.It was beautiful he ended up trashing the tail i had picked and started over with a different one.He didnt even charge me for the second one.Im gonna send him a older model ma3 for a predator green dip and a brown beaver tail grip.Ill let him pick the tail.Shoot i dont even like long bows but im thinkin about ordering one of his.Great service is what you can expect from Big Jim and company!!!Jim Preece

Apex- Not quite 200. I did however build 150. I don't know where 200 came from but maybe from context.
My wife and I are the only archery employees I've got. My wife makes most of the leather goods and prices and stock inventory. She also helps me when I'm gluing up bows. She is great help. My bow shop is equiped with as many toys as I could find and it helps me produce bows efficently but still completely by hand.  My Roofing guys have been with me for a long time and pretty much take care of themselves. I just do the estimates and office work and a few spot checks for each job. Our kids are grown and it's just Barbara and I to wory about- Oh yeah, there's the bank to worry about too- I like to work, especially at things I enjoy. Learned it from my dad early on. He was a large animal Vetinarian in Minnesota where I grew up. Not having enough vets around, he was on the job 7 days a week and easily averaged 12+ hours a day until his late 50's when more vets started showing up. My mom made him retire when he was 62 (he wasn't happy).
Without a shadow of a doubt, the most hard working, honest and respected man I have ever known. We lost him in May of '09-----I'm missing him every day.

Ben- I will post a commencement date here and other forums when we are ready to go. Hopefully it will be soon!

Thanks to all, back to the bow shop, BigJim

Just another reminder, Big Jim will be here Sunday for camo dip training and then to take the dipping equipment back to Georgia. All bows already here will be dipped on Sunday and will ship out Tuesday.

All future orders will have to go to Big Jim's. The camo dipping website is still  www.camodip.net (http://www.camodip.net)  and it has been updated with the new shipping and contact info.
Thanks,
Lonnie
