Title: Picking arrows Help
Post by: wisconsinteacher on February 08, 2010, 10:25:00 AM
I have a 45# Bear Grizzly and a 50# Bear Montana.  I would like to get into making wood arrows.  Will the same arrows shoot out of both bows?  Also, what would you recommend getting to shoot 125 grain heads?  Thanks.

Ramin Dowels from Walrus World is what I shoot out of ALL of My Bows!! The Price Is Right, they are Easily Straightened, and if ya Trash One, You wont be Out too much Time OR $$$!! I shoot them out of 45 to 55# Recurves and LongBows!! 5/16 is the size for Me!!

If your draw is 28 inches, wood shafts spined 50-55# and cut to 29 inches to the back of the point, plus one inch for the point taper, should work for both bows.
