I was thinking of trying some of these strings. Had a couple ?s for those of you who have. How many of you ran into underspined arrows when going to them. Did you pick up any speed having to go to a stiffer heavier arrow. Is the extra ke worth having to buy new arrows if that be the case.
if yer talking about going to a lowered strand count string, no - there should be no concern about changing arrow spine or foc.
SBD ......Thats a "White Castle" Tactic on Long Trips Isnt it??? LOL :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Maybe I am too much a newbie or was right on the edge of being underspined but I was definitely underspined with one bow after going to a 6strand string. I had to lower point weight quite a bit to tune them.
8-10 strand high performance is what i was considering do you pic any extra speed with them.
I noticed maybe a little more speed but I have not noticed any less noise than the D97 that came with my Black Widow. I have moved brace height, slid silencers up and down. I've done everything I usually do but it seems it hasn't made it any quieter.
I bought 2 SBD strings when I had a new set of bow limbs on order and tuned the new limbs using those strings. These days,I try not to tune any arrows to a bow until I have it all together, strings, silencers, bow quiver etc.And I always buy two identical strings at a time. This saves a lot of changing things with the arrow.
You may still be able to use the same arrows but may have to change point weight or change side plate thickness or brace height to have things fly perfectly.
