Title: Super Kodiak Performance.
Post by: craftsman on February 07, 2010, 04:49:00 PM
I have a relatively new Bear Super Kodiak(2008 Model) and was wondering if anyone would have an idea of the speed of these bows.  I'm shooting 2016 Easton Legacys at 28" with 125gr. tips. Bow is 55#.  I don't have access to a chrono & was just wondering how these bows stack up next to some of the better customs.  I'm very pleased with the smoothness & accuracy.  Thanks.

It will be within a few feet per second of similar designs....maybe even faster than some of them.   If you are pleased with the smoothness and accuracy, then you have 90 percent of all you need to know.  But I will venture a guesstimate for your setup at around 180 fps, at your approx. 9 grains per pound.  Just for reference, that is over 120 miles per hour.
