Title: Arrow selection
Post by: Delaware93 on February 06, 2010, 07:48:00 PM
I have shot cedar shafts since I converted to the trad world. Would it be going against the fundamentals to try gold tips?

Thanks. Being unfamiliar with other shafts, what would I need to purchase for a 51# bow? I prefer to shoot a full length arrow (approximately 30-32") and like broad-heads with weights of 125gr.

I shoot a 50# recurve with gold tip 3555's and 125 gr. up front. You might give them a try.

Does 3555 equate to the spine weight of the arrow? 35 to 55#'s? How long of an arrow do you shoot?

It depends on how "fundamental" you want to be, James.  It's just a choice to make and your woods will always be waiting to serve you again.

You're not far away; get in touch.
