Will just have to wait for turkey season :(
I hear ya was hunting earlier and relized I forgot my hunting licence well that was that I figured if I did'nt get out of there I would get burned :banghead: . But like you said turkey season's coming.
Yep.No fun when the ice storm starts dropping tree limbs on ya!
Yup had to drag a few of those out of the road.
yeah I was going to go out in the morning but we got 8" already and still coming down
Dangum only an inch this way so far.
Yeah all that and the wind is out of the norm not alot of selection stands for this wind but still am gona try it.
I'm with you!
I went out this morning for a couple hrs. after work, hoping to catch a doe feeding before the storm. Not! nothing feeding but squirrels, turkeys, and crows!
went to bed, got up. looked out the window and said: "oh, CRAP!, I better get busy!!" Plowed the driveway....why I don't know...it's deeper now than before. Tried to go to work but turned around: when I'm pushing snow with my bumper and my subaru is having trouble----time to park it!
Guess the deer are safe for another year! :archer:
well we are at 13" and still coming down hard.I aint going hunting in the morning.but I could dig a tunnel to my stand and the deer would never know I was out there.
Morning hunt got scrubbed - couldn't get to our parking spot. Will give an afternoon/evening hunt a try at a different location.
This is the most snow since the blizzard of 1993. :scared:
Rabbittman and Denny are still in Ohio----should have been on their way to Texas hours ago. Only in OHIO in the winter!!!!!!!!!MIKE
I was out last night in this mess till dark. I had about 3 inches of snow on my hat. It sure was pretty and there was plenty of cover with the snow weighing the branches down. Didn't see anything but a hawk.
We were supposed to get 3-6 up north here and have plans to get out woth Bomofo for some bunny hunting. The weather man was wrong (if you can believe it)went out at 5:00 and had "16 inches on the ground and still coming down hard!! No plows yet so don't know if we are going to make it out:(.
Denny
County where our camp is located is under level 3 snow emergency.I don't think we can even get into it.estimate 16 "on the ground now.
Let's go get them coyotes next weekend, bro... :jumper:

Man o man Doc, I'll bet your valley was beautiful to look at though eh? I can imagine sitting on the porch with a hot cup of coffee and loooking up the holler. Must have been something.
It would've been tricky walking up the hill though!

Biggie:Its beautiful out there after snow but the road becomes impassible and the walking can be difficult.I've slid on my all the way done the hill across from the cabin.Nothing hurt but my pride.
Doc
...and we hear there is more on the way. (!)
I went out Friday as the snow was coming in. Didn't see any deer but saw a hawk knock a little bird outta the air mid-flight and land on top of it. It all happened right in front of my stand and I just happened to be watching that little bird flit on by when the hawk hit. Pretty amazing. I ended up walking two miles home in the blizzard that night. Had about two inches of ice and snow on my wools when I got home. Didn't see any Saturday evening and just said the heck with it and stayed in on Sunday.
On the bright side, it's just a little less than 8 months to go til bow season!
did you guys up north miss this storm? It is freakin heavy too!
