Title: Did I marry the right girl? LYNX PIX
Post by: Sheepshooter on February 04, 2010, 11:53:00 PM
As promised; the rest of my lynx pics from our snowshoeing trip! We saw a mom with three juvenile kittens.

Momma

If you look closely you can see one of the kittens in the tree right in front of the mom.

I've seen a few bobcats out hunting the last 2 years and they don't stick around long enough to look at most times. Your very lucky to get that opportunity. Great pics! thanks for sharing

Dumb question. Is a Lynx the same as a Bobcat like we have around here?

That's awesome, I hate domestic cats but for some reason love bobcats, lynx, mountain lions, etc.

They are definately different cats. We have both in Alberta, however, the bobcat can only be found in the Southern part of the Province. The mom, for the most part, pretended we weren't even there.  I was able to get quite close and take quite a few pics.
