If you look closely you can see one of the kittens in the tree right in front of the mom.

Beautiful! I saw a Lynx a few years ago while hunting in Northern Idaho. One of the coolest animals I ever watched.Watched for a couple of minutes at around 30 yards away.
Very cool pictures!!
I saw my first and only Linx in the wild when I was in Alberta,on a Bear hunt in 2001. Very impressive animals.

I've seen a few bobcats out hunting the last 2 years and they don't stick around long enough to look at most times. Your very lucky to get that opportunity. Great pics! thanks for sharing

They are definately different cats. We have both in Alberta, however, the bobcat can only be found in the Southern part of the Province. The mom, for the most part, pretended we weren't even there. I was able to get quite close and take quite a few pics.
