77.99 for a fletched dozen sounds good. Any of you fellers shoot`m? Do they use the same nocks and inserts as gold tips and cx?What spine for 52@27 250 grains up front on about a 29" arrow?RC
Robert,
I've used them and they are great shafts.
they use the easton super nocks and will take a regular 5/16"s insert for most carbons.
I am shooting a black widow plv longbow that is 54#@26" with a 27.5" arrow, 100grn insert and 200grn point= i'm using the 400 spine.
Hope this helps.
you might try using the dyn spine calc to work up the specs for your bow setup and using the generic carbon selection.

I shoot them and GT trad shafts. I use the same inserts and change the GT easy break nocks to the Beman nocks. I think they are Easton's. The spine varies in comparison. I would plug your current arrow into Stu's calculator, and then use the arrow spine number to work up your new shaft. If I recall correctly the 3555, 500, and 150 vary in spine from each other weak to stiffer as liste. The 5575 and 400 are close with the 250 stiffer. I would have to do some checking to verify that, but the calculator will fix you up.
i shoot beman ics 500's almost exclusively and have about 5 or 6 dozen stockpiled raw shafts besides 2 or 3 dozen made up arrows. yeah, i like 'em.
29.5" (29" draw), bohning signature nocks. 4" 4-fletch 75x105 w/slight offset, 100gr brass insert, 300gr broadhead/adapter, 29% efoc.
I shoot them, they are a bit light but that is easily fixed by several different methods. But boy are they tough as nails. I want to try there "Traditional Only" shafts, they are Beeman ICS shafts, coated with the wood like stuff and that makes them alot heavier, but still only talkin 10 gpi. Of course they are a bit more expensive. But still only 77 for a dozen raw shafts, cheaper than alot of other shafts out there!
Yup, tough and the best bang for the buck that I know of. I would try the 400's if I were shooting your setup.
Thanks Guys. Chris ,the 77 bucks is for fletched arrows. Thats what caught my eye. After some digging and guidence from a fella I found out you can get the raw shafts from Lancaster Archery for 49 bucks.I ordered the finished arrows from 3 Rivers and if I`m happy I may get a couple dozen shafts. I plan on using up some arrows this year starting on pork next week.RC
I like them RC. PM me next time you need them and I'll give you a tip.
RC, I bought a dozen of them to try out b/c I was needing a shaft a touch stiffer than a 5575 and got the 340 spined shafts, cut them to 31 inches and 250 grains up front, i believe the total arrow weighs 575 grains and they fly like darts out of my 53# black widow recurve. Sounds kinda crazy that they would be to stiff but they fly awesome. They are extremely tough, alot tougher than gold tips, but i like the gt blems cause they are cheap also. Good luck, Chase.
And they are made in the USA.
They are the best arrow I have found. I buy the bare shafts and fletch my own. I'd say you want the 500's because your setup is about the same as mine.
Here is my setup for my 46# Kanati. For my 52# it is pretty much the same only the shafts are trimmed to about 29.75", so FOC will change just a bit.
FOC ARROW length 30"
shaft+feathers+nock wt 245
separate insert weight? 30
adapter weight? 100
point weight 135
total arrow weight 510
balance length 22.38
FOC % 24.60
GPP draw wt arrow wt GPP
46 510 11.09
As stated, they are tough as nails. The only way I have broken one so far is by Robin Hooding it. I turned it around, trimmed 1/2", footed it with aluminum shafting, and use it as a stumper.
You will be buying more, RC!
I shoot the 400's, and love them!
Buy some of 3rivers carbon collars or foot the end of the shaft with a 2114 aluminums.
This will make the shafts indestructable!. I have purposely shot rocks, shaft still in great shape.

I picked some up from The Nocking Point for less than $60 this fall. ICS 500's bare shafts. Great arrows and a good price.
I shoot 340's with 100 gr brass insert and 250 grain heads. Morrison Shawnee w/ Dakota limbs drawing 56 lbs @ 28". Works for me.

44.99 doz at bowhunters super store .com. They cater to wheels but have good prices on shafts and have always shipped pdq.
I SHOOT THE REGULAR BEMAN ICS HUNTER JUST DON'T LIKE THAT SKINNY SHAFT IN MFX CLASSICS!
