Congratulations Jason on your article in Feb/Mar issue of "Bowhunter Magazine", "Timeless Moose."
Great story!
Yep   !! Great article!
I just glanced through mine last night - haven't had a chance to read it yet, but you know that will be the first one I do!
I really think it is great that quality, well respected writers submit articles to Bowhunter magazine. I know it is full of a lot of the junk that we as trad shooters don't care about, or even cringe at occasionally, but the reality is that is where 90% of bowhuters are likely to see articles about traditional hunting. I think it's a great way to expose them to our way of life! :clapper:
Congratulations Jason!
That awesome, congrats Jason, I'll have to check it out!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. That was actually the first article I've ever submitted to Bowhunter, so I was kind of surprised when they bought it. There are a lot of mainstream bowhunting publications that wouldn't have ran an article with that overall theme. I'm glad that Bowhunter is different.
Congratulations! Gonna check it out!
O darnit Jason, I dont get Bowhunter :notworthy:
Jason's article is why I picked up the magazine. Kudos to both Jason and Bowhunter! Mike
Great article, i finished reading it yesterday. Same as above, i bought the magazine to read the trad. section in particular.
i LIKED IT AS WELL. MIKE
Can Anyone Post a "Reasonable Facsimile" of Jasons Article so we ALL can See it?? :readit:  :help:
stumbled by this article by accident last night (had to go to walmart to fill my sons prescription) thanks for the great read Jason, it helped pass the time while waiting
Congrats Jason! Its great that mainstream archery magazines are once again featuring articles about stickbows!
WAY TO GO JASON,i will have to go buy one just to read it.
we have a shoot mext month (march ) you going to be there?????
Enjoy all of Jasons articles and look forward to reading this one as well.RC
I read it and thought it was great. Glad to see more trad in Bowhunter mag. Congrats!
Do you feel they are beginning to have more traditional articles in Bowhunter than previously? It appears to me they are.Nice article Jason.
I think Dwight Schuh really likes the idea of traditional hunting in general.

i think your right ... i wrote him a few years back to query his set up that he was hunting with at the time [ pics were in Bowhunter mag ] ... a Neil Russel Wilderness longbow ...
he wrote back to me here in Oz too !!!
Great article Jason...keep 'em coming !!!
Ben
thats the only magazine I get besides traditional bowhunter. its a good magazine and they have been putting in more and more trad stuff in it lately. congrats jason
I remember reading an article where Dwight Schuh was bowhunting elk with a recurve so he is familiar. Will have to check out Jason's article.
hey Jason, what are the specs on the bow you used in that hunt? seems like it did the trick!
Thanks again, everyone. I really appreciate it.
Hawk: with my 32" draw length, poundage numbers are a little difficult to compare. The arrow I shot through that bull weighed 499 grains on my scale, and my bow puts it through a chronograph at 194 fps. The buddy of mine, Ted, who called for me, had never seen anyone shoot an animal with a recurve. After the shot, he said that he couldn't get over how easily the arrow blew through the bull's chest.

I have noticed this also, since Dwight has taken over as editor it seems as though trad is getting a lot more ink. Joe
