i sit here trying to think of ways to raise money for the kids of st,jude..i have a brainstorm that seems to not leave my head.i got greedy a week ago and put my blackbrook evo up for sale.i felt so guilty about this that i pulled it off the block.i have this idea......what if i took evo and had her refinished but before the person applies the finish we ship evo around the country getting the top trad archers to sign her limbs.i dont know all of them so help me out here with some names.i'll need a volunteer to refinish her.i think this would be one great collector bow.its super, super rare as it is but this would make her a one of a kind and would probably fetch a good price in the auction.thanks.....larry

How about Byron Ferguson, Frank Addingtin Jr., Rick Welch and Mr. Yien. I'm sure the more people see this thread, the more names you will find for signing the bow.

Dont yell at me but Ted Nugent? Elkherder do you remember the biker build offs on discovery, next you can get 5 bowyers to build a bow together for auction.or even a dozen arrows one arrow (dipped, crested and feathered) from each of the best arrow guys. That would go good with the bow you got.
-
Rod Jenkins comes to mind. Darrel Quidort (not sure on the spelling of his last name). Denny Sturgis, Jr.
That's all I can think of right now.
Nothing wrong with Ted Nugent's signature. Name recognition is there for sure. I bet he would do it too. He does a lot for kids now.

nuge signs everything when it has to do with kids...hes pretty cool.

Larry,
I would have one of the Martin Bros sign it. To bad Gail can'g sign it he would be perfect for this.
-
You should make a list as to who is contacting who so the same guys dont get bombarded with calls and if one is hard to contact ,someone doesnt waste time going on a quest when another can do it in a flash.IMO
-
Probably if it made its way to the bigger rendezvous', you'd be able to knock off a bunch of signatures.
-
Tim Meigs, Ed Ashby, OL Adcock.
Elkherder I will donate the money for 4 shipments wherever in the US. Tell me what I need to do to make the donation, and someone else step up and match.

-
sounds good felix...way to go man.p.m me your address in colorado and when to mail it etc.
-
this is gonna fetch a good price for some very worthy kids who really count on these donations just to survive,to even have a chance to see another sunrise.we must as trad archers set an example to others so no kids get less than the best treatment available.i often wonder what it must feel like to be a parent of a sick child and not be able to help make your own child well.this touches me deep in my soul.this is who we are.thank you all very much for your ideas and support. larry

i have to get the bow finish removed before we start getting the signatures applied.i am contacting a couple bowyers tomorrow to get it done.thanks guys.
-
you also need to ship a paint pen with the bow, one thats compatible with the spray finish your bowyer uses. I bought the same ones that I think Apex Predator uses, cant remember the name ..something like Sakura??? I heard the best ones for writing on bows are Calligraphy pens with india ink...would it be best to have bow refinished first that way its sealed and protected, then have bowyer spray a couple of coats of finish over signatures?? if you have PayPal I can send you a few bucks to help on shipping and materials or PM me your mailing address and I will mail you a money order..Thanks, Robert
-
i'll be asking questions robert as i'm a greenhorn on what pen and when to write the names etc....if you want to kick in a few for some shipping costs that will help me.no big deal though either way.bjorn offered to help also.you guys rock man.

There will be quite a few well known names at the Professional Bowhunters Society Banquet in late March.
