Thinking about getting some purple heart wood shafts.Making some purple heart arrs.Any experince with P.H shafts?

Never seen any like that, definatly need pics!! I bet they would pack a punch, pretty dense wood isn't it?

Make sure your tools are sharp. Purpleheart is tough on tools, it will catch, chip and splinter.

I have a Bighorn with PH limbs and riser.  Pretty wood.

Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods have them.I am going to order a dozen and try them out.

I have some 3/8" purple heart shafts I made. The arrows turn out over 1000 grains. They about blast through anything!

3/8" should spine out at about 200# based on the teeny tiny ones I have that go 60's.

you have to heat it to straighten it.
