I am not a rich man. :( I have 2 kids. :) I have a mortgage. :( I bought a Morrison. :bigsmyl:
I think I got a touch of Morrisonitis. I know there is no cure, but is there anything to keep it from getting worse? And NO! I'm not sending you my bow!
Thanks Zmonster. :help:
And so it begins. Bob makes a mighty fine bow without a doubt.
Good luck with that I have not found a cure either!! It started innocently enogh last year with one and now somehow I have two!!! Go figure!!
Even Bob will tell you that all the extras you get on one of his bows won't make it shoot any better, unless you are getting foam cores.
It's a common disease. I have the Scaferitis, Widowitis, Bighornitis, etc and etc. There is no cure. Just support groups like Tradgang and Stickbow:)
In a period of weakness I sold my Morrison... Sad for me as it was the best perfoming recurve bow I've ever owned.. Beautiful as well.
Wait until you shoot it !
I would be more than happy to help you out. I have a strong immune system and could probably handle a silly little disease like morrisonitis, so just send it my way and forget it ever happened. :)
Oh! AND WHERE ARE THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the new bow.
Rather funny...replace Morrison with Silvertip and you sound like me. :goldtooth:
Welcome my son,you are now a full blown BOWAHOLIC.Time, money or new bows are no cure.I've had it for forty-five years and am still going strong.Someday I'll post some pics of my bowroom and you'll see what I mean!LOL
I'm snowed in this morning so all the pics I can get will be appreciated!!!
you're in for it, its both uphill and downhill from here, But then again when isn't it?
Haha, welcome to the club they are great bows. Where are the picts????
Well shooting the thing didn't help! I don't have any arrows that are right for it, the ones I have are way too stiff any shooting way left, but I did dig up an old cedar shaft with a hilbre broadhead on it and my first shot with it was exactly where I was looking, about an inch under the spot I picked on my 3D target. It is very smooth and cants naturally without me thinking about it. I have to get some arrows worked up.
Hunter (my son) has some boy scout stuff to do this afternoon but I'll try to get some pics up tonite.
And razorback,I really appreciate your concern for my well-being, but I'm going to keep it around anmd see if I can build up my immmune system like you have.
I traded a Black Widow for a Morrison, wasn't sure I did the right thing but it was a more friendly weight. After shooting it a bit It became clear that it was an excellent trade and that my shooting even improved. Even the guys I shoot with said I was shooting better than I had been. They are real nice bows........
A piece of advice, one day those cute wonderful kids will be come teenagers. You will be glad you bought a Morrison when you had the chance.
Well, the real bad news is that this disease you have usually morphs into something more wide spread in your system as noted above by a some sufferers. You will become immune to common sense, develop strange cravings for more of the germs that caused the illness i n the first place, and even begin muttering to yourself about things like snakeskins, foam, ILFs and other strange things that will cause normal people and small children to avoid you as being "under the influence", which of course you are. There is as of now no cure and no vaccine, however I hear that a group of wives are researching a vaccines for this illness as we speak. Hope they never are able to develop one
