The rolling terrain allows to practice for a wide range of up hill, down hill, over rocks, under branches etc.. Great practice
I Killed this one at just over 30 paces

A great day afield, got to sharpen up on some bushcraft skills, and get some shooting in.
A Yew tree...Couple longbows in there.

A pity think you can't bowhunt in a Country's that's history was built and defended with the Longbow, fun to pretend though.

Great pics Andy. Thanks for sharing them with us. Best wishes to ya.
You mean you can't hunt ANY game over there?!!?
Thanks Andy for sharing those great pictures. It is a shame that archery hunting and gun ownership are not permitted in a country where these two tools played such a prominant role.
Good on ya, Andy!
As always your pics are second to none.Bummer that you were displaced from America when we are over run with folks who refuse to be self sufficient and contribute to the wellbeing of this land.Anyway, Im glad to see that you can comfortably make anyplace your home.Maybe Ill meet up with you in Oz someday.
Beautiful place Andy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the trip Andy. The weather has been nasty around here and I haven't been out stump shooting for a while.
Lots of history in those woods I'll bet. Like Longbowman poaching the Kings Stags. I see you were totally corrupted over here, I mean coffee, no Tea? Best of luck to you, and hope to hear you are on your way back our way soon. Great pics!
good stuff Andy ... at least a dash of cloudy cold weather will prepare you for Oz .
Ben

Some great looking country Andy, probably makes you miss the mountains around Gunnison a little, but at least you were able to get out and fling a few arrows.
Thanks for sharing and all the best for you in 2010 as well!
Good stuff Andy! Glad to see you can atleast stump shoot there. I'm not sure if you can stumpshoot here in Japan, I certainly don't try, not worth the risk! Definately no bowhunting here either.
What is the name of the area you where in for that outing? Great pix, You would have fit right in with the merry old Men of days gone by.. Thanx for the pix.
Thanks guys :wavey:
yip at lease i can still get out and shoot.
Sal, its right on the edge of the Peak national Park, South Yorkshire.
you can't hunt anything out here with the bow Doug.
Hey Robert good to hear from you, are you doing the Texas Sweat this year?

Thanks for taking us along, looks to be some real nice country.
At least you can go stumpin' and exercise the Shrew a bit!
Take care.
top notch pic's  thanks for sharing them.
Hi Andy,
looks like a great place for body and mind.
Looking forward meeting up with you. Hope you can make it over here. Lets load the kayaks, shoot us some fish, start a fire and ....
Daniel
It is a beautiful landscape Andy, and I was always of the mind that the UK was more open fields with patches of timber.
We take a lot of things for granted here in this country, including our hunting privilege. We will complain about not seeing a lot of deer, when we should be happy we can hunt those critters.
Thanks for the photos, I love seeing other country and the folks who live there.
Nice pics Andy. Glad that you had a chance to enjoy your bow and the woods.
