Nice looking bow Joe.the pics I sent bearbowman are no were near as good as your picture taken.I will have to get the wifes camera out and take some real nice ones.mine were taken with a cell phone.
Come on bearbowman before I get in trouble.lol.
I would have bought that puppy if you wouldn`t have, you will be real happy with it!
Joe, real nice, I`ll have to get one of those someday :bigsmyl:
Thanks Bob! If I remember correct, you scooped the bow up pretty quick from the classifieds? I think it was on the market for maybe an hour??

Thanks.Tater for the pics and a great bow.
There she is guys above.aint she pretty?
tell you what guys and gals if you ever get a chance to shoot a Big River give it a try.they are awesome shooting bows.for 53# it shoots as hard as most 60# bows I have shot and shoot real flat also.
Yeah, great shooter aye'!!! Mine shoots so good the thought has been crossing my mind of selling off the Mohawk and getting another BR!!!!
How long you gonna keep this one Bob? :)
its here to stay Steve.one of the best shooting bows I ever shot.
Gorgeous bows! I'm drooling. Thanks for posting the pics.
Love those bows.
John sure makes some beautiful and nice shooting bows. I just might have to have him make one for me. Too many bows????
Nice pick up.
Regards
Bob that is what you said about that Bob Lee that I sold you a couple years ago. That is what you said about that Talon Longbow you traded me(I piped a 2216 with that bow)That is what you said....... :jumper:
Yeah Steve but the Bob Lee was no were near as good looking as this Big River 59 repro. And I knew you wanted that Talon.Sounds like someones bragging alittle about the 2216. :biglaugh:
Looks shouldn't have nothing to do with it. You said...........you said the Bob Lee was the best shooting bow you ever owned and 6 hours later is was posted for sale. You know that pipe job was luck. You have to hit just the right molecule on the tip of that arrow to pipe. First one in 30 years........its all luck you know.
John, makes a great bow the 59's of his, are great shooters but all of his bows are great shooters.
Joe, I was just handeling one that could be a twin to yours and I did not buy it. What was I thinking.
DD
I have two John McDonald (http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss115/earljeff/newbigriverbow007.jpg)Longbows wish I had more (http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss115/earljeff/mainebearhunt2009025.jpg) :D
Very nice looking bow; I have always liked the lines in the early bows and the way they shoot.
Hey Earl Jeff, do you have anynore pics of ther bow leaning on the bear, what are the woods?
the riser is solid Phenolic and the limbs are cocobola. Think I spelled them right (http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss115/earljeff/mainebearhunt2009019.jpg).
My BR bow is awesome, had it out stumping today and love it more each time I shoot it. My dad just picked his up yesterday got it just in time.
John was making some carbon foam limbs when my dad was out there.
Earl, Nice bear!
Man all these pretty pics of the longbows are killing me.they are sweet.

John was making some carbon foam limbs when my dad was out there. Don't want to speculate or say to much but John may not be making bows for a little while.
Earl, Nice bear!
Ummmm Charlie, what are you talking about brother?? I sure don't want to hear that!
yeah me either.I want one of those longbows.
Hope he is doing ok.
Never mind what I said earlier. If you want a Big River order one! Give John a call!
His Bows are awesome!!! :notworthy:
John is fine, I just got off the phone with him. PLease dont scare us like that again unless you are sure of your info. We need the old geezer around for a while!
Glad to hear it was misinformation from the origination. I agree, It would be nice to have him around, who else am I going to get my second, third, fourth, and fifth Big River longbows from :goldtooth: ?
I just met John in November and he's been a huge inspiration.
