Well I'm stuck home with 2 sick kids and I was bored so I tried to make a small game head and this is it.

It was pretty easy xx75 arrow took the insert and screwed a a same thread bolt through the back and screwed on a sheet rock wall hanger and them glue the insert back in.

It shoots great and weighs 194 gr.
Give me your opinions please :coffee:
That hurt if it hits ya!
Can i still hang a picture with it :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Sorry but I couldn't resist - looks awesome....now if you are using left wing fletch and it hit the screws will make it reverse and go right hand thread...hmm
it will lose arrow speed..BUT it's going to rip like nothing I have seen before....need pics of something you hit with it ok
Cool invention...you see TIME is the MOTHER of ALL INVENTIONS...WE NEED MORE TIME - TO get more time we need MORE MONEY.

Jerry,
The tip is designed with tight threads that when you screw it together it is not gonna come out from the rotation.
   I'd add some wire legs at the back of the head kinda like a judo. Looks awesome though and would really put a hurtin' on rabbit!
I have to say, that is one ingenious idea! I have used those things alot, but never thought of using one for a small game head, I like it, and it seems like it would really to a number on a critter!
use some locktite maybe - awesome idea
better patent it soon buddy...it's where money is made and lost
jer
That's a mean lookin sob! I like it!!!! How does it shoot???
I shoot a 70# Hill and it was about an inch high at 15 yrds. I shoot 160 gr. Hill broad heads so I will have to find a heavier bolt the one I used was aluminum.
Left wing or Right wing??? ;)
Hey your a jersey boy I just noticed where abouts?? Looking for someone to do some stumping with. I'm by point pleasant
Jerry do you know how much they want to do a patent search its like 3 grand.
I realize - but all things cost money - You want to search for things that make money and stay done....build something that you can make a few cents on and sell MILLIONS of them...McDonalds made pennies on their hamburgers.
How many sold now.
Sell the idea then - find some investors..i dunno
just talking out loud.
Jer Bear
your rite
I'm not saying you have to do anything don't get me wrong...we all get opportunities in our lives its the ones that take advantage of them that succeed.
Now a wise person told me once that it takes 10 businesses to get one that pays off generally...so this means you need to fail 9 times learning from each experience to get one to work.
He told me to FAIL QUICKLY - but learn with each...I have found one now that is great.
good luck bud - you have a ready made market here.
Jer
Thanks Jerry the first step is always the hardest.
make it a baby step then.....then another one...ever see the movie "What about BOB" with richard Dryfuss and Bill Murray.
What a hoot....
Jer
Wolfie2nd I live outside of Atlantic City.woodchucker i use left wing but when they screw on the bolt they wont unscrew without pliers and a screwdriver.so rotation won't be a factor.
If it's threaded opposite of the wing of your feathers the arrow won't fly :biglaugh:
All I know is, that anything it hits is "SCREWED"!!!!!!
:biglaugh:
It's a cool looking head, but to be honest, I think it would be a mean death in comparison to other heads. Dosn't have the shock power of a blunt or the killing power of a broadhead. Of course this is just my opinion, which you asked for.
Vter I think you might want to make one and see how hard it hits.In my foam target it hit hard and fast!
here's for "screwed squirrels"! :D :D :D TRy saying that aloud 10 times!!!
Awesome small Game head good Ideal !!
I think right wing feathers would give better penetration, but I'll wait for the Ashby report.
Can you explain why you feel that way.
looks great! I will have to try some this weekend.
No disrespect meant, and I know how this could appear coming from someone who makes a small game head so take it as a well meaning question and nothing more. But wherein lies the killing power? In my opinion a small game head should have blunt force trauma or cutting blades or preferably both. Is there a way you could add a nut, or a washer or something behind the screw to jack up the blunt portion? I would think that would be better for small game. Again, not trying to put it down, I'm all for homemade heads. I just think that on live animals you'd be better off if you could add some knock down power.
that looks very interesting i dont think i would like to be a tree rat when that is shot from a bow :biglaugh:
Tim - testing - testing - testing..post some results.....then you have something ok.
Live your dream bud please......
Jer Bear
It's like the one Daniel Y made I think it looks awesome too......
He uses it with great results.....are they cheaper than the ones out there...maybe not...more work obviuosly, but the satisfaction of something of your own making can be all you really need out of it period.
Just to have an imagination like that is priceless....In the words of George Carlin " We all need some day dreaming time" from this we can again become creative. :bigsmyl:

Just put corn and nuts out in the back yard hope to have test results in a few hours.
