I like a simple hot melt, because i am used to change the internal component, depending on the bow I use or the hunt I make.I have never lost a point hunting or 3D shooting, sometime on really hard target, that anyway I don't like to use.

I use a slow cure two part 24 hr. epoxy for installing inserts in carbons. But to key is to properly prep the insert and shaft for good adhesion.I'll etch or scratch the inside of the shaft and scratch the insert with sandpaper and then clean everything with alcohol. Then I will epoxy them,I don't use any heat on my carbons, there is not a carbon arrow manufacturer that recommends any heat at all with carbon arrows.I know alot have used hot melt for tuning but you can get carbons tuned without hot melt or gluing them in with some saran wrap.I use hot melt or epoxy to glue  broadheads on screw on inserts.

I've been using JB weld on inserts for a while now since JC turned me in that direction...

For mounting BH's to steel or alum. adapters...I use a hot melt glue that I got from working on a pipeline job. Best hot melt glue I've ever used....

I like the hot melt for mounting points, makes it real easy to change  when the time comes

I had to repair several that were put together by 3Rivers. I used Gorilla High Impact Epoxy. Worked great. Now I can't get them out tho......=0(

I will use a hot melt in the future.

GURU!?!? WHAT'S THE HOT MELT YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH??
