How many of you shoot three fingers under nock ? I have always shot this way (40 years). Seems like less finger pinch and offeres a better "sight window"  :)

never tried it before was thinking about trying it

Try it ..."YOU"LL LIKE IT "

One thing though ... you need a good arrow nock to string grip ! I like a thread tye on nock. and another "TIP" I use a heavy spot of beeswax on nock set area to help the hold. Works great!

I use primitive self nock arrows that don't have snap plastic on nocks.

Look above at  STRAIGHTARROWPRODUCTION AD. Theres a guy shooting three fingers under !!!

one thing ive heard from the few guys i know who shoot 3 under is close range accuracy went way up fairly quickly, they said for some reason it took more work getting used to shooting longer distances 3under than split.  I actually know one guy who changes depending on distance.
i want to try it especially on my shorter bows and see how it works

I shoot better with 3 under but I can't get the bow to quiet down to the same level as split. I might try it again this off season to see if I can get it tuned right.

i used to shoot only split till a friend of mine told me to try 3 under.. i did and i like it. now i only shoot 3 under, it just feels more comfortable to me..

I used it when I first started shooting recurve,  The bow had an elevated rest.  when I went to off the shelf, I didnt shoot so well that way, so I switched to split finger.  I think I had the nock set to low or something.

When i first took up trad archery i shot split finger and never could tighten those groups up.
I spent 2 days with Rod Jenkins and he changed me to 3 under and said that most of your top archers shot that way.
It has helped me shrink those groups and just feels right and i also like the shorter gap that 3 under gives me.

...It does feel the most comforable to me too!
