I was just reading another post about stuff learned around here, and gotto thinking.
This board is akin to a Traditional archery institute of higher learning. Lookin back,I found this sight not all that long after I started shootin trad, and stuff that is second nature to me now, I didn't know a thing about 6-7 years ago.
Where else could a fella go, as a new-be or even an old salt, and get the vast array of core curriculum and elective credits that are available here at Trad Gang U.
A guy can major in areas such as bow buildin, arrow buildin, leatherwork or knives. Deer hunting, elk hunting, bear hunting, or hog hunting.
Electives such as string making, camping, shooting, cooking and eating, just begin to scratch the surface of whats available.
Other areas of study, as related to traditional archery could include science, physics, geography, social studies, art, math, history, reading and literature, philosophy, anatomy, biology.....its all covered right here. And a whole lot more useful than the junk they fill kids minds with in schools.
I think a diploma :readit: from TGU would look great hangin on the wall.....down in the man cave.
I agree, this is an awesome place! I have been shooting a Longbow for just over 2 years, learned it all from here! I own a couple different longbows now a days and just love it! I've learned how to build wood arrows, foot carbon shafts, tune my bows and arrows also learned how to make a back quiver from scratch for my sons birthday! Great site, thanks everyone!
Great site!! I've only been shooting Traditional Archery for a short time and this is the place.
I only hope that as I learn I will have something of value to contribute.
Cornucopia of traditional knowledge!!
 :campfire: :clapper: :goldtooth:
I can't tell you how much I've learned from people on this site. There are so many people here with great advice and they are happy to offer that advice for no reason other than to help others out. I was like a sponge on this site trying to soak up as much knowledge as I could. I learned things that I didn't even know I learned until a question would come up and I actually had a pretty good idea as to the answer. :archer:
A lot to learn from a lot of great people.
10-4 the best , great family to belong too !!! :campfire:
