It's finally here. My first foray into traditional archery since I was a kid. Gene Sanders made me a 56" TD recurve 50# @ 28 with zebra wood and wenge riser and bamboo cores with zebra wood limbs. Outside my wife and kids, it is the sweetest thing that these two hands have ever held. If I were not so technically challenged, I would post some pictures along with my first attempt at fletching and wrapping arrows. At 15 steps, my first two arrows found their mark. After all those wasted years with wheels, I am like a kid again.

Email me your pics and I can post them for ya!

Love those G&L bows! Gene and Larry do make a mean bow. And I always wanted one of there T/D longbows. What kind of arrow/broadhead set-up are you going to shoot?

Interceptor,
I am shooting gold tip traditional hunter 3555's cut to 29", wrapped, with 5" LW parabolics, and 125 gr. field points. Fortunately, I live about 10 minutes from the G&L shop so I am getting alot of help on shooting form, set-up, etc. from both Gene and Larry. I will probably shoot a 3-blade woodsmen broadhead when the time comes. I might add that Gene and Larry are some of the finest people that I have had the honor of meeting in quite some time. They have kind of taken me under their wing to make sure that I am approaching trad archery on the right foot so to speak.
