I use a gov't. surplus alice pack because I got it real cheap, like $20 shipping included, on the big auction site.

I use the Cabelas Alaskan Outfitter. I like it because it is really comfy with a big load. When you have to make 4-5 trips out full of elk meat, it needs to be comfy.

Bullpac. Best I've ever used.  I've carried 10 days of provisions 6 miles into the mountains with mine.  Also use it as a stand and blind hauler.  I carried two quartered whitetails out of the woods with mine last season.

Dwight Schuh hunt pack, a decent, versatile frame pack at the right price.
It has a 27" plastic frame, a 2500" top pack bag, and a 1000" fanny pack. Packs away easily in duffle bag for air travel.
I use it during elk hunts with the frame and fanny pack attached (4#)to carry essentials and to carry meat bags out with the first trip. Or with top bag added for 2-3 day backpack hunts.

I have the Bull-pac Big Bull. I have yet to haul game with it because I haven't made a hunt that required the use of a frame since I bought it. I have killed a couple of deer here in IN that I would have liked to have used it, but you must check your deer in in one piece here! I have used to haul stands and climbing sticks.....as much as 75# at one time and I am very impressed with it. I had an Alaskan frame and carried out part of a caribou with it and it did a good job. I currently use an Alice pack frame with a molle waist belt.

Just bought a molle frame off the auction site($3.95)and will rig it with both the molle straps and waist belt. This belt and straps are much wider and more comfortable then the original Alice harness.

Other military gear I have "discovered" lately are the Alice load binding straps. These are 48" long with a cam buckle. They cinch down very quickly and securely, making strapping a load to your pack frame a breeze.

I even use these load binders as a replacement strap for my Summit tree seat. I can strap my seat to a tree in a fraction of the time it takes to use the Summit straps and have my tree seat much more firmly attached to the tree.

Mystery Ranch Crew Cab.  I was looking for a pack that could be used on western hunts as well as something that would work well for whitetail and turkey here at home.  I used the pack this past year to haul a double bull blind and decoys for turkey, lone wolf stands and sticks, deer decoy, and packed an elk with it in MT.  I have a Cabelas Alaskan pack (external frame) as well and it does fine but is too noisy in brush for me.  The crew cab uses the NICE frame which can have other mystery ranch packs put on it.  The pack also compresses down and can easily be used as a daypack.  For me that is nice because it doesn't require a trip back to camp to get a frame pack.  They are also made in the USA.

Bullpac. They are strong and quiet. I agree with Talltines on the Alaskan pack (external frame) noise issue.

I use a older dark green Dana Designs Terraplane back pack! This is my bivy pack and it can hold alot of weight! My average loaded hunting pack weighs around 45lb for 5/6 days without water. Large amount of storage and pack is designed to carry large amounts of weight! After bull is down I will break him down and bag the meat and hang. Next I will empty large compartment in backpack and load up with meat. I carry the removed contents of the backpank out is stages in light plastic bags! Hopefully by then I have some help!!

Cabelas Alaskan Outfitter for heavy weight loads everytime.  Jason and I both have them and have carried a bunch of meat.  They are well built and have a suspension system that allows for load leveling while traveling.

None better!

Here's a photo of my Bullpac hauling a Bisongear Elk pack, side quiver, and a 130 pound Kentucky whitetial doe.  I used this pack on a DIY elk hunt last year while my brother-in-law carried an Alaskan by Cabelas.  Let me put it this way, before we even reached our final camp site he was kicking himself in the butt for not buying what I had. We definitelty have experience using/comparing the two.  Keep in mind that we both were hauling enough provisions for 10 days in the backcountry.
