Post by: chad graham on January 17, 2010, 03:07:00 PM
this is my futuer hunting buddy he loves bows and arrows.one of his first words was bow he is 18 months old and even though i dont want him to grow up too fast i cant wait to spend time with him in the woods.i haveto sneak down stairs to shoot my bow if he sees me going down he comes running saying bow and hunt. he knows how to pull his bow back by himself but we have some work to do on his form but i look forward to infecting him with trad love. Isn't it great?  I went through and am still going through the same thing with my 3 year old son.  I can't even touch my bow without him wanting to go shooting with dad.

My Grandson W/ Grandma shooting his hickory selfbow (3 years old).  Great concentration.
At 3 1/2 he wanted to go elk hunting with me. Took a nice walk in the woods and he carried his bow just like Grandpa.
Great feeling.

I have two boys 6 and 9.  We are truely blessed to be able to share these times with them.  We are always shooting together and they usually hunt with me.  Been fortunate to kill a doe and a really nice buck with them. Memories for life.
