I need to track down one of those 3-D deer models that have the cut away side showing internal organs. I've seen the desk sized ones used in Hunter's Ed courses, and I seem to recall seeing a bigger one - maybe deer target sized.
I need to get one of these for the weekend of March 12 for a hunting workshop I'll be participating in - either size, but bigger is better, of course.
The hunting workshop will be near Chapel Hill, NC, and I'm located in west/central IN so I could pick up at either end or somewhere in between.
If anyone knows of such a thing I could use, please give me a shout.
Thanks so much
Ryan
I have seen them at Bass Pro SHops in the past, and NBEF.org used stock them as well. I believe they are made by either Delta or McKenzie targets, Rhinehart makes one too.
NBEF.org will have them. Contact the NBEF, for the chairman of the IBEP in Indiana, and see if you can borrow one from their program.
If you were closer, I'd lend you mine.

Rhinehart makes an excellent open vital 3d target. I shoot a indoor traditional league and this is one of the best almost real looking except the view of its insides.
www.nbef.org (http://www.nbef.org) has them on there store page. They are like 75 bucks for the desk top ones. Made by mackenzie if I remember right. Comes with push pins to so you can show where an arrow would enter and exit.
Campion traps and targets have an xray target thats almost full size and shows the heart and spine and such.
I bought a 3D at Cabelas with the organs on one side. It was the only 3D deer without the plastic legs that wreck wood arrows.
I have one of the small ones that I used for Bowhunter Safety Classes--we called it the "Voodoo Deer"--it comes with a long pin to push through so you can see arrow trajectory. You are welcome to borrow it if you need to.
