Title: Roger's Books
Post by: buckeyebowhunter on January 13, 2010, 08:22:00 PM
I was just reading stanM's post about Roger. I too loved Roger's segment on Masters vol. 1 and do love reading articles about him, he is an amazing bow hunter. I was wondering how i could get ahold of his two books, when i looked on Amazon the prices for em were ungodly. Just wondering if you guys had any info.

I'm glad to see the interest in Roger's books. If you call him, be prepared to chat for a while. As was said in the other thread, "Roger has forgotten more about whitetail deer than most of us will ever know".

A better man will be hard to find.

If you can order the books directly from Roger the phone call alone will be worth the price.  He is a treasure to talk to and one of the freindliest people I've met.

Roger Rothhaar is scheduled to speak at the United Bowhunters of Missouri festival next month. His topic will be - you guessed it - bowhunting big whitetails. I'm really looking forward to meeting Mr. Rothhaar. I have both of his books.

Whitetail Magic is one of my favorite books.  You come away from reading it with several thoughts.  First, his deer don't come by accident.  Secondly, you understand that he truly loves and respects these animals; feelings I'm betting many of us have.  He really gets inside the heads of these big trophy animals.  Everyone that bowhunts whitetails should have Whitetail Magic in their library.

If it is possible to get these 2 books, I'd also like to get on any list. Thanks! And it is gratifying to see what a low poundage bow with a sharp broadhead can do in the hands of a master!

Buckeye,

You have to check the e-mail address you put in your profile.  You should get a notice from the TradGang administrator there.  You might want to check you e-mail's "junk" or "spam" folders.

And, once again, I can't add anything to what Bryce has already said   :notworthy:    My sentiments exactly!

Great book written by one of the best.  When is the United Bowhunters of Missouri banquet?  I may like to drive over there to hear Roger speak.
