sorry, just taped the box shut on one going to Whip at the Bow Hospital for some R&R...... If you want to see some nice stuff, Chad (a.k.a. "LBR") has some on his page Recurves.com. He is a sponsor and a ChekMate dealer.

Will post a pick of my H2 if I can figure out how to do it with Windows 7, which I put on my interweb box a couple weeks ago...
Here is my 60" H2, Zebra/Bubinga riser, Locust limbs, that I call Big Mo. I got these woods hoping for a natural camo for when I hunt the Badlands. Not only did it turn out to be striking in appearance, but it truly is naturally camo'ed for my beloved Little Missouri country...

Same bow from the shooting side, post-follow through. Note fletching dead center in the kill zone. Damn, I'm good!

Same bow, 20 yard group. I really like H2s & shoot them well. If CM would slim down the grip a touch, the H2 would be about perfect.

Here I'm stumping with my arrow retrieving labs, using another 60" H2, this one with Maple/Bubinga riser, Red Elm limbs.

That Zebra/bubinga really looks great!
here are 2 of mine CM`s
One has been modified with red deer antler.

This is an H56, not an H2, but I'm posting it so you can see another wood combo. This is/was Little Mo, which much as I loved her, didn't work well for me due to the small sight window. Never heard a complaint from the buyer, so I'm betting he loves her too. Little Mo is Zebra/Walnut with Walnut limbs...

Mine is a King's Pawn. It has a Purple Heart riser, two Osage accent stripes, Red Elm limbs, Black Glass, and Purple Heart Overlays.

BTW, Rambo, I sent you a PM with some CM info...
Wow, that purple heart with black glass looks real sharp!
Some of the pics on my site aren't great--I keep planning to put up better ones, but never find the time. I do have a few others on my computer, if you want to e-mail me I can send them.
Chad
Chad, feel free to snag any I posted here...

BTW, I have a mid-winter new CM itch, anyone having a left hand 58"-60" H2 they're thinking of parting with, PM me & we'll talk trade or price...
c/m bows are some of the prettiest bows out there and quality built. i dont understand the low price tag?? awesome bows.
Tradbow,nice bows you have there.
Thanks NDT--I hope I can find the time to do that.
Pete, this may sound too simple but this is how it works.
1. Chek-Mate doesn't spend any money on advertising, brochures, etc. They stay well behind on orders all the time, so there is no need or reason to add to the cost by advertising. I only have my site, and I pay for it.
2. The bowyer has the operation pretty well streamlined. He's built well over 10,000 bows in the last 20+ years, and knows his stuff. He has the equipment he needs to keep something going all the time--he's never standing around waiting on glue to dry. He can put out 10+ bows a week without sacrificing quality.
3. He and his wife are running the operation as well as doing the work. No other employees to cover.
4. The most obvious reason--he's not getting rich. He's lucky to live in some of the best hunting and fishing territory in the world, and he enjoys what he has. He's never been on trips to Africa, Australia, etc. and probably never will. His goal is to make an honest living and support his wife and two kids--he's satisfied with that.
That's the long and the short of it.
Chad
Folks, these are very good bows that fly off most radar screens because of what Chad just wrote. No, not the fastest (we don't care about that), but mine are approaching 200 fps on a 32"+ draw! Stable, built to last, and can be as pretty as you want. I own a Crusader Lb and a H2 'Curve. These bows are a permanent fixture in my "collection". Marc (bowyer) and Chad (point of sales) are one heck of a combination - and with Chad, you get a great string on your bow too. If you search TG, you will see a lot of comments where guys were sorry they had one and let it go. One tremendous value!

I live just a short distance from Marc and visited him yesterday to get my H1 refinished. He is a unique individual. He has donated dozens of bows to shoots in his local area, has the best warranty going and loves what he does. And LBR is right, he ain't getting rich.
I've been shooting recurves since the '60s and these are my go-to bows. They are without a doubt the smoothest bows I've ever shot. You will think they are 5 pounds lighter than they really are. (Incidently Dorothy Lidstone, the lady that founded Chek Mate was ladies world champion in the late '60s.)

I added antler to this chek-mate riser

I just got the one I bought of of the adds here and love it so much that I am selling my martin hatfield to fund another. They are great shooters for sure!
