I am new to the whole build your own arrow thing.
I am going to get carbon shaft and build from there. So what is the right wing, left wing thing in fethers. and is the Fletching tape good or bad.
Thank you

Left wing is more readily available....
Fletching tape is great....

If you shoot right handed, left wing feathers are the best. People say it doesn't matter but you will never see a serious right hand tournament shooter shooting arrows fletched with right wing feathers. This should tell you something. Leftys generally shoot right wing feathers.
There are a lot of variations in opinion.
Fletching tape is fine and quick to apply.

I personally use right wing feathers on carbon. They fly great. I use 5" shield cut. I have not used fletch tape, so I cant comment. I use goat tuff glue on the carbons and it works good. Its easy to scrape off when you damage one.
