Post by: Bullfrog 1 on January 10, 2010, 01:50:00 PM
Looking to break down and buy a ground blind for this late season. I am 6' 2" and will shoot from sitting. Any suggestions?  Thanks.   BILL

The only one I know of is a Double Bull but you have to get the one that is a recurve model it is 6 inches taller at 73 inches tall and will give you plenty of room to shoot just about anything. Also the blind that Ron LeClair sells on his website is supposed to be tall but I dont know exactly how tall. Check his website out up top and maybe you can get more info on them. Good luck on finding one that suits your needs.

I think one without a top would be a good one 8^).

I didn't buy one because I've decided to stick with natural cover, but I looked at this one which is for longbows. Here's the description...

EXTRA HEIGHT IS PERFECT FOR
HUNTERS USING LONG BOWS OR FOR STAND UP SHOTS

Ameristep Penthouse has worked pretty good for me, but the last one I got seemed like the quality wasn't as good.  My next will be a Yukon Enforcer Elite.

I hunted with my 64" Shrew Model-T last fall out of my Hidden Hunter blinds. No problem at all.

Bullfrog 1, hey pm or e-mail a member here that goes by ed. His member # is 8902. He bought a great blind last spring. Plenty of head room
, well made and a fair price. I can't remember the maker. I am sure he would be happy to help you.
Good luck

I picked up an Eastman leafy blind last season. It is 74" tall at the center. It is stored in the barn right now and I can't remember the exact model. You could probably google it and find out for sure. It is a hub type blind and sets up similar to the double bull. That being said, if I decide to buy another blind, it will be the Hidden Hunter.....Mike

The Yukon Tracks Enforcer is 80" tall sets up easy, I shoot my 62" longbow out of it no problem while seated in a chair.  A bit to low to shoot standing I am  about 6'3".  Won;t break the bank either.

Normally I shoot my 60inch shrew from my hidden hunter blind but this year I shot a 64inch Morrison and had no problem. Luke
