Do these heads come sharp out of the package? Do they need to be touched up?
you can order them already sharpened which is what I did and the hair jumped off my arm and ran before the blade even touched it! ;)
Mike--as a master taxidermist, you will probably think they need a touch up, but the ones I've gotten have been impressivly sharp-to me-under their rubber protective dip.
Mine only needed stropping.
Thanks guys that what I needed to know.
Are they good strong heads?
You could shoot one of those Brown Bears into a TANK! All I've done with mine is some testing, but if I ever hunt something BIG that I don't feel comfortable with my Woodsmen/Snuffers on, I will be shooting the Abowyers.

Yes.
Is anyone else having trouble getting their test videos to work?
Have the come out w/ their screw-in's yet??
I've been pretty impressed with them - just took a little bit of stropping and were good to go.
I talked to Larry 2 weeks ago and he said they would have a batch of screw-ins ready by end of January and was looking to make a Bonehead model @ 200gn in the near future.
I will start buying them when I can get the screw-in models.

I taked with them a few days ago, this is the response that I got when inquiring on the screw in Brown Bear Heads:
"As of right now we are hoping to have the heads available by the end of February. We will have weights around the range of 175, 200, and a 250. We are thinking our pricing will be around $60.00 for stainless steel and $55.00 for the carbon heads. Thanks for the interest and have a great day.
Cody-"
Looking forward to try them out
