Heck, I've got a predator green Orion that I'll sell ya so you don't have to dip the morrison.
LOL
Mike
hmmmmmm....any pics?
Heretic!!! Witch!!! Burn him!!!
Sorry, I got carried away... :bigsmyl:
No Way !!!! :banghead:
Larry, you should check your T.G. members manual. On page 146 section III paragraph 3 you will notice that anyone who alters one of Bob Morrisons bows will be immediately banned from this site.
Its up to you but I'm just sayin'.
Larry, cover up a Morrison Macassar ebony riser?
the pain, the agony, the injustice. you get the point.....lol
That would be like Graffitti on a work of art!
If you like it and you believe it would make it more efficient hunting tool do what you want. Personally I like wood, but I think a predator green cheyenne would probably look pretty awesome.
The tar is heating up now.
I have thought about having my foam/carbon limbs dipped with the wood grain pattern, but covering up an ebony riser, I don't think so Tim. I would think that the camo dip could be removed, but I don't know how difficult it would be.
I think it's ok, but you'll have to send the forefinger of your drawing hand to the moderators.
Bowmania
PS How about cloth limb covers?
Wingnut to the rescue! :biglaugh:
PLEASE dont cover the Ebony!
If you have to camo a bow, camo over a diamond wood riser.
Bill
I might camo dip a actionwood or dymondwood riser but for me I would not cover up an ebony, just my thoughts.
would covering it in ASAT be problematic?
Don't do it!!!! I really think a month after you get your Morrison dipped you would be doing a bit of this....... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Please dont do it!!!!!
wow....guess i'll be finding me another riser eh?..not much into the tar thingy and feathers...well....we just wont talk about feathers. :bigsmyl:
thanks guys...thats what i was thinking was to find a different used handle and use the limbs i bought off here last week...thanks for the opinions guys...you saved a bows life today...be proud.lol
why not just use that duck blind spray paint thats removable...in a brown...then take some green and hold a plastic plant up to it and shadow paint the leaves all over it?
Once you dip, we won't acquit!

(Now thats funny!!!!!!!!)
Larry, dont do it!!!!!!!!!!! Last archer to do it brought out the wrath of the Morrison gods and he never shot an animal with that bow again.
I'm here to save ya.
Mike
The camo dipping can be be moved. I personally like the como dipped bows.

I spray painted mine, but had camo remorse. Had to dip it to get it to look almost like the original. Not a bad job, but I can still tell, the bocote complicated it a bit. I hear those solid macassar dips are pretty hard to pick out.
Killdeer :goldtooth:
What the ....?
Now that's just not right! Get a Rope. :scared:
:bigsmyl: me sowy
Thank god they stopped ya just reading the thread title i spit coffee on the screen!
Now Killdeer methinks you doth protest too much...perhaps you just wanted to show off that bow again :)
Like camoing the Mona Lisa--please don't
We forgive you Larry.
If you do it, I'll be on you like a dirty shirt next time I come out there to chase elks!
Buy another ebony bow-Black & White Ebony from those Dryad guys!!-
karim
That's the beauty of a metal riser, it is never a shame to dip it. Now beautiful wood is a different story.
If green is your favorite color and you are going to keep it in the future. It will still shoot as good!! Camo bows do not seem to sell well. Personally I would hunt it, shoot it till it was banged all to heck, then camo it to make it new again. In old age I may camo my face.
be different! dip it! do it!
you could......of course, you could get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a bulls a## but wouldn't you rather take the butchers word for it?!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist! Your bow man but I don't think I could do it!
Larry,
You're obviously experiencing some sort of psychotic breakdown. Please, pack up that bow and send it to me. Go get a spear and dip that. Would Michaelangelo camo-dip the Mona Lisa? (not that her mug didn't deserve it).

shes safe'''''for now...muahahahahahahahaha
Yes Homebru,Michelangelo would do that since he hated Leonardo.
:bigsmyl:
Thank you, Cacciatore.
Killdeer :wavey:
LOL. Oh my god, I can't believe I didn't catch that. Well done Cacciatore.
Your bow,your call!
I think anyone who would dip a beautiful recuve bow with that heinous camo, should be made to run through a field of multi-flora rose, naked as a jaybird. Even thinking to do that should be a penalized in some manner. That camo stuff is flat ugly....there are no redeeming features to it. None.
Did I mention that I don't care for camo dipping?
However....if you want your beautiful Morrison, to look like any other camo dipped bow, with no character of it's own, by all means do it. :knothead: :banghead:
Bows are meant to be hunted and shot, not worshiped like some Demi-god.
If you will beleaguered more efficient, or atleast think you will go for it.
But my Graybark PSA will never get threatened with a dip.
I almost dipped my last compound in Predator, but that is different...
"Bows are meant to be hunted and shot, not worshiped like some Demi-god."
Well first of all, wanting a bow to be aesthetically pleasing is a far cry from worshiping it.
Then again, to dip it in some foul stew, of run-together colors, is about as aesthetically pleasing as a bucket of duck fat, and no way enhances it's "ability to be hunted and shot."
I suppose we all have our views as to what constitutes a hunting bow....weapon. I would like to see what your spouse would say if you tried to get the brand new family car dipped in Mossy Oak 8^). I'm sure some of you would think it was cool, though.
Have you ever seen a camo dipped bow in one of my PBS, TAW, or TBM mag cover photos?? NO, and you WON'T!!!
I disagree with Lonewolf73 when he says camo bows do not sell well. I think he refers to those that are left hand over 60# that are camo dipped.
I had one bow on my Sipsey River rack for 18 months, no sell. Then I camo dipped it and sold it at the first show. Camo dipping is not for everyone, but for many, they love it.
What are you... NUTS!!!! LOL!!
Ah just grow a set & git 'er done! :D :D :D

If dipping a bow makes it more astetically pleasing to the only one that matters, then so be it.
I guess I don't agree with telling another man that his chosen tool of the trade is unworthy becase it has camo on it.
More power to those that do.
Lance Coleman drives Bill Howland of Brackenbury Bows crazy because as soon as he gets one of Bill's creations (Quest)he covers it in camo spay paint.
I camo dipped my Quest but I picked it up used and it needed to be refinished, dipping was cheaper.
I had a Dakota dipped in burl camo, and liked it real well. I sold it to another guy so I could finance something else. That guy did remove the dip. I think he used paint stripper to take it off, and then re-sprayed.
I had a Bob Lee dipped and love it. Get what you want. It's your bow.
