A whirlwind trip down to the desert produced no bowhunting action at all, but some great photographic opportunities. Please enjoy!

As for the taste of camel, I imagine it tastes like alpaca, which might taste like llama, which might taste like goat, which tastes like sheep, which is a bit different to beef, but not terribly different. :biglaugh:

MR.Kleinig what kind of cooking technique is that?
-
Deadpool, the meat is wrapped in alfoil, several times to keep the sand and ash out, and then placed on top of some coals in a hole. It is then covered over with sand, and left for three or four hours while we sit in blinds at troughs and dams.
-
very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Ah the red sands of Oz. Still washing it out of my hunting gear! Great pics Ben, it keeps good memorys up front. Thanks. You live in an incredible country. Like many of our own remote areas, desolate and barren but has inner beauty that you need to see for yourself.

Good pictures, the area looks like part of the desert SW in this country, hot during the days and cold nights.
