With only 2 weeks left in our deer season, a big moon, frigid temps, and very few deer on the daylight prowl, my KY bunch is looking ahead to thumping some hogs next month. Who's ready???!!!
I am ready. Gary are you going 1st week ?
Count me in!! Oh what the hey... think I'll just go all five weeks. Since I haven't killed anything since Nov. 9th I'm very much in need of a "hit" !! BW
I think I'm set for week #2 Tom.
I'm ready and will be there week one with Tom. You don't really think we're going to leave any pigs for you week two guys, do you Gary?? :bigsmyl:
Dick, I heard that you guys were killers so don't slay too many. It's a pretty good drive out there from KY and I need at least one pig left in the area to make things interesting:^)
Barry- You think Gene will be passing hogs too?
Seems Gene has a 160 minimum, leaves those little sucklers for the rest of us :D
I can hardly wait, to see some of my old friends. And the new ones I have yet to meet :campfire:
I sure hope someone meets Hogzilla :archer:
Snowing like crazy here in Canada. I'm ready but waiting 'til Hunt #5. Will sneak down to Florida between now and then.
Hey Rabbit man, after you get a good size stack of hogs. You could do a little scouting for me.You know, just so you don't get to bored.
I have a lot of broadhead sharpening to do before then.Tracy said she is showing no mercy to those hogs.
Bill
Gary, Good luck to all you guys going this year I won't be there. I got invited to hunt a small ranch with 3 other guys. I think I'm only about 50 miles away, maybe I'll stop in for a visit. I have to check the date, but I think it's the second week.
Terry
Gary , I have seen Dick hunt, your safe ! I'LL be there week 1&2 so I'll see both of you ! I am soooo ready !!!
That's cold Thomas...besides, I didn't think anyone saw me do all that m-m-m-missing last year...Got your scouting covered Bill...but you probably should let Tracy go it alone and you stay home and get caught up on bow orders...never know when I'll have another live one for you. :goldtooth:
I will be there the third week. I wish I could be at all five hunts because I know I'll have friends at all of them and it would be fun listening to all the lying going on after shooting hours! :D
Fat chance, keeping me home. :biglaugh: Besides Tracy said she is just letting me go along for camera man duties, and dragging pigs.At least I always know where I stand with her.
BIll
For us newbies fill us in on what this hunt is. I can't make it this year but want to kill a hog someday!
Sorry you won't be on week one Bill! I miss you and Susie the Wonder Dog! I look forward to seeing friends old and new!

Go to brothersofthebow.com and click on pig gig and That will tell you what it's all about. Always a good time.
Sorry I might miss you this time Terry. Last year's hunt was a very trying time for me; I had to cancel my first booking due to the big ice storm up here. When I finally did make it down there we had to leave early due to a death in the family. By the way, we're thinking about starting a petition to have Thomas banned from future hunts; he kills too many hogs! Anybody want to sign??
I can't wait to hunt with Thomas again...a lot to be learned about hog killin from a guy like him! Just talked to him yesterday as a matter of fact.....
I can't wait for the Gig, Marty and Biggie told me a lot of things about the twins that I need to look into  :scared: :biglaugh:
Only thing is, I tore up too many of my gig arrows on hogs in Fl, now I have to scramble to get more ready before early Feb!!!!! Not a bad problem to have really ;)
Can't wait for week 1!
I've had enough of this winter now, heck, I moved here 'cos it's s'posed to be warm!!!
Looking forward to hooking up with all my old buddies again & making more new friends this year (Hopefully!) :D
HA! not this year, I am taking it easy on the hogs ! I promise :D
week one is just a warm up, week 2 is when the killing really happens, some real killers signed up on that hunt!
I was ready as soon as last year's hunt was over. I can't wait to chase hogs again! I'll be there with the week one group.

This is one of the best parts about hog hunting in Texas...the shooting doesn't have to stop! Get your night hunting rig setup boys. :jumper: :jumper: :jumper:
Dang, I wish I were going this year!
Date is creeping up on me fast. The last few morns have been below zero ready for some warmer weather . Need a hunting fix and more stories by Vance :campfire:
Jon,give the brothers a call. There may have been a cancelation.
Bill
UB- that knife will work great on piggies, too!!!
There'll be four of us central IL hog slayers there for week 2. Looking forward to the hunting, tales and warmth.

I will be ready as soon as I get loaded up on arrows from The Feathered Shaft (Rick Stillman). It is -9 F here right now. Texas is sounding mighty good!

I'm in for week 1, very exciting for me. And very excited to catch up with some of you boys I have hunted with already. And Meeting you guys who I have not yet had the pleasure of sharing camp with...
Cant wait..Still need to figure out if I'm driving or Flying hough, waiting to hear from some people..
Either way... this sums up my excitment :jumper:
Didn't here from you today Matty - give me a call when you get a chance, or give me your number and a good time to call.... :readit:
Where could a person read up on the pig gig for all the details. I'm betting it's not ever gonna fit into my meager budget but a guy can dream huh?
Thanks in advance!
God bless,Mudd
PS I wouldn't take up a lot of space here answering my question but feel free to direct me via PM or e-mail.

Getting close...and I can hardly sleep already thinking about how to pack, what to pack, working on arrows, bh's, etc.....
I love the planning packing stage of any trip. But planning a trip to hunt with 25+ other tg'ers including Gene and Barry...well that's almost too much to handle!!
It's gonna be gooooooooooood! :campfire: :archer:
Got my texas license in the mail yesterday. Just one more thing I don't have to worry about.

Had a "pow wow" over a big steak with two of my group last night . . . a prelude to pigging out at the "All Ya Can Eat Shrimp" night in Albany.
I'm sording through arrows and putting new strings on.Deer have decided to move to a night time schedule in my area.I'm ready for hogs,if they move at night so will I.See youins in texas on the first week. :wavey: :campfire:
Week #3 can't get here soon enough. I just finished the limb tips on a soon to be hog shooter. Arrows are ready and a few dozen broadheads are standing at attention.
After a couple of weeks of cold, foggy, misty weather here in Central Illinois, I'm really getting anxious for week 2 in Texas. Looking forward to sharing another huntin' camp with a bunch of fellow PBSers!
I won't be going to Texas this year as I have an appointment at an antelope blind in Wyoming in September but I will be thinking of you guys. Ah, so many hunts and so little time and money! Good luck and shot straight. :archer: :jumper:
Hey Brian,Tracy and I will be there for week 3 also.Hope to run into you one evening.I would like to hear the story about that griz in person.
