Post by: bowmaster12 on December 31, 2009, 11:05:00 PM
whats the best way to figure out arrow length should you just cut an arrow to a length you are comfortable with then wieght it until it shoots right or start full and cut down until it shoots right?

The only thing that counts is how it flies. As long as it is not so short the BH cuts your fingers. Length is just numbers unless it flies right.

For me I never just cut an arrow especially a carbon without shooting it first.I'll pick a basic static spine with the weight I want up front and trim and tune from there. This way I'll get the correct dynamic spine I'm looking for and the length they end up is where I leave them. And hit the total weight I would like.Once you cut the arrow that is where it is,then if it doesn't fly the way you would want,it's wasted money.
