Blackwidow has put the NEW PCH on there website just thought all you may like to know awsome looking bow may have to have one in the X style. Widow
Thanks for the info.
I'm not up on BW lingo.....what the 'X' style???
Terry the X is for exotic woods. Kingwood, bocote, osage, and so on. TD.
I was going to say "X" means "Crossbow", but thought you might :knothead: me.
Yes, X means exotic or custom wood, not their standard "plywood" as some refer to it.
Thanks!!!
OK Blackhawk.....I've backed off 'The Button'. :biglaugh:
I shot one of the prototypes about a year ago while I was at the widow factory. If a guy likes a short riser with a small sight window then this is the widow for you. Basicaly a PSA minus abiout a 1 1/2" in the riser.
I liked it!
Just curious..
Why is osage considered an exotic wood?
I've never seen any osage, so it's pretty exotic to me!
Black Widow's base model bows are, I think, stained actionwood or maple or something (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Their mid-range bows have an "ironwood" riser and stained, vertically-stacked bamboo (is that a term for "lamboo"?) limbs.
Their top-of-the-range bows have a riser of any exotic wood on offer, and veneers of that or other timber over the vertically-stacked bamboo limbs, except in the case of osage bows, which don't utilise any bamboo, just the osage (and glass / carbon).
