Posted this over on the Shooter's Forum but it disappeared, so I'll try it again here.
Anyone shooting 2213's, if so at what draw weight & length? I have a box of them but they would seem to be too whippy for my bows which are 52#-55# at my 28.5" draw length. No use fiddling around fletching & cutting some if they won't work...
They should be close ,they are very close in spine to 2018s and 2115s just lighter. I use the 2018s in that bow weight range as I like a heavier arrow and the thicker wall is a bit tougher.
I like 2213's out of my bows ranging from 55-65#.
Good enough, I'll give them a try. Thanks...
Jon,
Send me your email address and I'll send stu's calculator too you. You can build your bow and your shafts in to get a good match to get started.
Mike
Did a quick run with a R/D longbow with your specs and it looks like they'll work with 160 gr tips.
Yep, what the guys said, shot them for a long time in my 55-60# bows at 28" and they flew great. Watch your tip weight and have fun.

I shoot 2213s and 2215s 30 1/4" long @ 57# with 145 gr. up front. Ben
I like them.They are .460 spine.
I shoot them cut to 30",with 3 5.5" nanner fletch, and 175grs out of my 50# bear grizzly.Out of my 54# Schafer curve,I think they'd be better off with 150gr.A little fluttering in flight.
I've got a doz. 2213's in the mail as we speak the old XX75 serpentines, rare as hens teeth .Got them off the big auction for a steal brand new .I've shot 2213's for 30+ years and just love em .Bows from 50 to 60+ Lbs .Play around with weights and when there tuned you'll be impressed.
Fletched up some 29.5 & 30 inch 2217's (have a bunch on hand) and some 2213's with 4" LWs. Too much snow to shoot through paper outside, but visually both fly well shooting across the basement into a bag target. For pure simplicity sake, I'm using alum inserts 125 grain points, and no extra weight up front. Been using 125 grain 2 blade Magnus on the carbons, but as long as I'm trying something different, may go with 125 grain Snuffers.
To pre-empt the obvious question, I'm switching from carbons to alums as the alums are easier to fletch, tune, need less fiddling to get adequate weight, and generally are easier work with. I'm shooting for an arrow that will shoot well with all my bows. If I get a perfect tune with a couple it will be a plus, but I'll accept a good average with all...
I bought some 2212's for tournament arrows. I shoot a cut to center recurve that is 53#@28" and the arrows tuned nicely to 28.75" with 125gr tips 4 4" RW helical fletching. Using Stu's calculator gives you a really good point to start...sometimes it is dead on the money!!!
I sent you the link to Stu's calculator in a PM.
Appreciate it, Snag...
Appreciate the assist, Guys. Snag, I figured out the center shot drop down box, so disregard my PM.
Looks like a 29.5" 2213 with 125 grain point and a 30.5" 2217 with 145 grain point are very close to a match (less than 2#, the 2213 is .4#) the average dynamic weight of my bows. Don't have any 145 grain points on hand but the 2213 I set up shoots great.
17 below outside today, so I might as well build arrows... :D
Glad to hear it is coming together! I read you PM before this post...so you have a response to your PM....sorry. Man, -17deg.!!! You'd be shooting frozen arrows at a frozen target.
20 below when I got up this morning, forecast advises it will go down to -35 today...
