I can;t see Marty not loving this. It is a great piece of work.
Bisch
Still got alot of work to do, but those pics show how far I got over the Christmas holidays. First chance to post pics, so Marty will be seeing my progress for the first time when he sees this post.
Also, want to say "thanks" to Marty! He let me bump a couple in front of him because the folks wanted them for Christmas. I am sure Bob Walker's son and Mark Cothren's nephew really appreciated it when they opened their gifts!
Thanks, Marty!
Will post more pics as I make progress!

Marty, I'll chime in with a big THANKS for letting Chip work on mine ahead of your's. I wish you all could have seen my nephew's jaw hit the floor when he got the first look at the piece Chip did for me/him. It was priceless!

Worked on the buff's head some more tonight, not a big difference but the little things I do right now are what brings it to life, hopefully!

Glad to hear that, Marty! Worked on your face some tonight. Still gotta do all the grass around the bottom and left side as well as touch ups. Hope to finish it this weekend!

Worked on Marty's face some yesterday and shaded his hands. Still have work to do on that ugly mug...just kidding, Marty! Need to do more touch up on his face and then the grass!

Astonishing ! Should be titled: " Buff on Buff"
Chip,
Having watched you develop your gift from the very beginning, ( I remember the tree and the tuna can) it is still amazing! Happy New Year My friend, Happy New Year!
This one is your best yet!
pete
Thanks, Pete! I had hoped you had forgot about the tuna can, LOL!
Only thing I can see that I still need to do is touch up the silencers on the bow string.

I hope I didn't make Marty to good looking, afterall, I am trying to make it look as realistic as possible, LOL!
Just saw Marty's video of when he took this buff! It was awesome! And I am proud to have been able to do this plaque for him!
I can't wait to get it in my hands. The horns look too cool
:clapper: :clapper:
Marty,
Still gotta put the finish on it. Didn't want to risk it getting messed up with the temps being as low as -4 last week, since I have to put the finish on in the garage. I am traveling right now for my real job, but will get the finish on it Thurs or Fri. We have warmed up to the 30's, LOL!
FYI, anybody who saw the piece I mistakenly posted with a shotgun instead of a bow (A bird in hand...), and wants to follow the progress, pm or email me and I will give you some options.
Chip
Stunning!!!!!
