I'm planning an elk hunt in Idaho for 2010 season. Do most of you take two similat or identical bows when you travel or just one? I've been taking only one but a buddy said I should always bring a back-up.
Better safe than sorry.
Most times when I travel with a partner we will bring one back up bow between us. I don't think I have flown on a hunt without a partner somewhere along the way. If I drive and have the space I always bring my own back up bow. Haven't needed it yet, but I know the one time I do will be the time I don't have one along.
Every fall I live Italy for the Rocky, for 22 years;never took a back up bow,but it is smart to have one.Once I broke a string and it was my only one,I had to drive 250 Miles to find another.Smart enough?
1993 I backed over my bow and if my Father-in-law hadn't brought a spare I would have been done. We always bring at least one spare.
4 guys w/compounds going west to hunt. All bring bows plus spares in sep cases. What's following them: a trailer.
