Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new trail camera. I've normally used cuddybacks, and have not payed much attention to any of the new ones. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what they like?
You are about to get a lot of recommendations for Covert. I don't have one, but will soon.
I just posted problems with my covert, never had a problem with my cuddeback
Have you been to Chasingame.com? They review all trailcams.

Home brews.
I had only used Cuddyback up to this year and they treated me good. I branched out and tried the Covert II. The Covert II is a nice camera and its best features are the smaller than average size of the unit compared to the others. Also has good trigger speed and the choice of taking pictures on a more rapid basis than what I was use to.
The one big advantage I would give the Cuddyback over the Covert II is the power of the LED lights and the capability of the Cuddyback to light up the animal and get a better picture farther from the camera.
To sum it up if you are looking for a camera that will be traveling in your backpack often I would go with the Covert II. If you are looking for a camera that will posted up in a food plot or in the same area and just shuffled around a little bit I would go with the Cuddyback.
I have 2 cuddybacks never had any problems with them.and they take great pictures.
I have two moultrie cameras, and neither works. I'd stick with cuddyback. I know you get what you pay for. Spend the extra $ and get a good one.
I only have experience with the Moultrie D40. It takes pretty good photos when it takes them. I know that I miss deer with it b/c I've seen deer in front of the camera and later check it and there is no picture of that particular deer. The D batteries last about 3 weeks and I was taking between 40 - 70 pictures a night. Not a bad camera overall.
Coverts for me. Small and can be hidden from public land thieves, batteries last longer than any other, I.R. flash, video mode, lots of setting options, easy to use and a fast trigger.

I have two bushnell trophy cams and plan on a third for next fall...Look at the chasingame website the bushnell trophy cam the dlc covert are basically the same camera in a different case and the bushnell gives you the longest warranty i know of out of any camera, also with the lock box and python cable here on public land it makes it a little tougher to steal inmho
I've tried several trail cameras over the years and found the Cuddeback IR ( have 4 now)to be the best for the money. Haven't tried the Bushnell or Covert
