Title: Feather drying time
Post by: trad_bowhunter1965 on December 23, 2009, 09:36:00 AM
I just killed some geese and I am going to use the Feather for some arrows How long do I need to let my goose feather dry before I can use them?

About two seconds.  They don't need any drying time.  Just split, grind, glue and trim.  QED.  Have fun

Yep, I've shot them in the back yard before and took them right into the shop and ground the feathers right away.

A good grinder to get is a belt-disc combo. Then you can do your feathers - taper shafts and do end tapers all with the same tool.
