Title: morrison limbs
Post by: PAPA BEAR on December 22, 2009, 11:55:00 PM
i recently bought a cheyenne in the classifieds.i need some input on which way to go when i order a new set of limbs for it.i am considering the foam/carbon l/b limbs but i want to stay at 62" as this will be my elk bow.i have an A riser and i am wondering how the e or f limbs will rate compared to the recurve limbs speed and shootability wise.any help will be greatly appreciated.

Shootablility.... great! I had a set of C/F 'D' Dakota limbs for my Cheyenne.  I got 195fps at our local Vancouver archery shop...you know the one! Using a very slick glove, fingers, and 460grn GT5575.  My set was 56#@28" I traded them off to get my 2 piece griffin back... No regrets as I shoot my Shawnee with dakota LB limbs better. By the way the Shawnee has "C" Bamboo Dakota limbs [60" bow] and I got 207fps with the exact same set up on the same crono. Also 56#@28"  :wavey:

I have an A riser and I use the D longbow foam core limbs. Best setup I own. I love the way the foam feels on the shot. You will not be disappointed. In my opinion the Cheyenne makes the best takedown hybrid longbow period.
