Title: Ambidextrous 3pc longbow?
Post by: iacornfed on December 22, 2009, 10:39:00 PM
I was wondering if any makes one of these? If so does any one have one? Or possibly photos of one? Thanks

I haven't seen one ever offered.  Sometimes a bowyer will make something like this if you ask them to...  todd

I believe Great Northern built one for a guy once!

I thought I saw one that Rusty Craine (aka Trashwood) had Horne's Archery make for him.

If you have one made it will be 3/8" from center on each side (maybe less but probably not too safe if it is).

I have 3 ambidextrous bows (a HH Wesley Special, a one-piece fiberglass longbow I made, and a yew longbow without a shelf).  If you are an ambidextrous shooter (I am) its a blast.  Plus anyone can shoot your bows.

Yes I can shoot from either side. I find that when I hunt I always seem to have the deer show up on the wrong side! If I could shoot the bow from either side it would be great.
