Great little bow, 55@28 58" cocobola dymondwood clear glass. I draw it to 29" and it is nice and smoooth. Grip is fantastic, Jason made it a tad longer for me. This was to be my turkey... hunting from a blind bow, but it's gonna see alot more than that. First deployment is going to be at Ray's in Feb were I hope to draw blood.
I got the beavertail from Abe at Cari bow and followed his instructions. It was a bit of a challange to work, but turned out nice IMO. All my bows will have beavertail from now on!

Jason builds a heck of a nice bow!
Now that's sharp right there - congrats and good job with the Beaver!

Amen to that! The beaver tail looks nice, but I prefer mine naked :saywhat:
I had a Shurgrip on it for a while, but the grip just fits my hand perfectly with nothing on it. I guarantee once you start shooting the Kanati, it will quickly become your go-to bow.
Wow, that is sweet looking! I like the beaver approach! :bigsmyl:
Very Nice......
Great looking grip...if you get bored over the long winter I have some bows I could send you to wrap to help the hours pass
that is one of the nicest grips I have seen.
Nice job on the wrap. Looks great!
Very nice job on the grip that looks very good!
I have a sure grip on mine, but that does look sharp
Looks great, sweet job with the beavertail!
Went to the web site and seen it for sale. Looks like enough for a couple grips, is that right?
Great job! I just did a Beavertail grip on my Pronghorn 3pc and love the way it looks. The Pronghorn grip doesn't have the curves your Kanati does though. You did a great job on it. Sweet bow too. Congrats!
That's a great wrap you did ...Now I might have to get some for one of my bows...
Fantastic job on the Beaver, I was wondering what was the most challenging? I'd like to give it a go some time..
Nice bow and good job on the grip.
Excellent and very nice looking! :) :clapper:
Looks Sharp! Contrasts well with the Coco Dymondwood.

If the grips are small ya might get 2 but most likely 1 larger grip and a few strike plates.

The hardest part was just working the wrinkles out in the deepest part of the grip. I wouldn't want to do a grip with more "curves" than this one.
You have to soak the tail in warm water for about 10mins.
Dry it off
Wrap the bow in a few layers of saran wrap
Trim the tail ROUGHLY but leave enough extra to play with. The tail will kinda change shape on you as stretches one way and not the other etc.
Keep working it until all the wrinkles are out. Overlaping it where the stiching will be.
Hold it tightly and wrap the tail with more of saran wrap...a few layers
This will set everything in place...I left mine overnight.
Take off the saran wrap and mark where you want to trim off. I went around the edge of the shelf, squared up the bottom. For the seam I made a mark top and bottom took it off and cut it with a staight edge, put it back on then used the egde I cut to mark the tail underneath. This gives you a perfect fit. You may want to cut a 1/16 short so it'll draw together when you stitch, but not too much.
Take it back off, line the ends up and punch your holes, finishing nail works good. I used curved needle and artificial sinew from 3 river but anything will work.
Barge cement on tail and bow, stick it on lace it up. The area right under the lacing I did not use any cement to make it easier to stitch.
Thats it.
Great job on the grip, really makes for a sharp looking bow.
Never new beavertail was so good lookin' good job.
It looks like you did a fine job
Very nice!!
Wow that is nice looking! I may have to try my hand at a wrap.
You know, I may have changed my mind. I didn't want anything on mine but that beaver sure ads to the appearance of that thing.. nice. I must be getting old.

Looks to me like you obviously worked out the difficulty! Fine job and really does have a great look to it!
Wow, that is one of the best looking grip-jobs I have ever seen! :notworthy:
OK, I keep reading about a beavertail grip. Can someone tell me what it feels like? Is it tacky? Is it slick?
I was pretty sure that my Kanati was perfect and there was no way to improve it,but the beaver tail grip would be awsome! You did a excellent job.
