Title: Bear, Red Wing bow ID
Post by: Burnsie on December 20, 2009, 01:11:00 PM
I've got 3 bows I'm hoping to find out the manufacture date/year on.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bear Grizzly - serial #6P1059 (or 6P1659-hard to read)
Bear Grizzly - serial #8R12
Red Wing Hunter - serial #R3416

Thanks, Troy Burns

While I'm at it, I'll go ahead and see if anyone can help me out with identifying the wood in each one as well.

I think the grizzly is Rosewood. I have it's twin sister. Great bow.

I'm no expert, but based on information I have researched your Red Wing Hunter is from 1963 and the wood is definitely Brazilian Rosewood.
