I just got a Martin Hatfield take down. It came with a #330 Martin traditional arrow rest. Two parts: leather elevation pad and a leather plate. I cannot figure out how to position the elevation pad. The picture is too small. Do I have to position the elevation pad across (perpenicular to the arrow flight) or parallel to the arrow flight so to create a shelf for the arrow not to fall off the shelf?
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks
Lay the pad so Your arrow rests on top of it. When holding the bow in a shooting position the side plate will be vertical and the arrow pad horizontal across the shelf.
In this case the side plate (sticky) will hold the arrow pad in place. I lay the arrow pad only on the shelf and not on the side of the window, right? so the arrow is perpendicolar to it (and elevated) when in position to shoot. Sorry I wish we had a picture
thank you
