In the spirit of giving, I will donate copies of my 2008 book 'My Neck of the Woods' to TWO lucky recipients.

Sign up here between now and Saturday NOON, and I'll draw a couple winners and try to get them in first-class mail Saturday or Monday.

And for those that have asked, a follow-up book should be finished sometime in 2010.

Bryce has written a very diverse book for the common hunter. Even though he must commit portions of the fall to teaching school, he has shown us many ways to get into wild places. Even teachers learn every day, so I can't wait for his next book! Mike

Instead of Saturday midnight, I think I'm going to cut off the entries at noon or so on Saturday (tomorrow), so I can try to get the books out in the mail yet that day. And then I can get started on my last push for hunting during my Christmas break from teaching.

And I've decided, what the hey, FOUR books will be sent. Still not very good odds with 134 posts so far, but I appreciate the interest. Will post names and try to get addresses sometime tomorrow.

Alright, it's NOON on the East Coast and I had my daughters draw numbers first for which page of the thread (1-10), and then for which person (1-15) on the page. And the winners are...

Before I get to that, first a sales pitch. :) If you don't win, you can still get My Neck of the Woods probably before New Years, while you're still waiting for Uncle Barry's book to arrive. 45 chapters, lots of pictures, and I trust that everyone on TradGang can relate to the path I've followed. I don't have a fancy website or even Pay-Pal (but will on book no. 2), so it has to be done the old-fashioned way.
