All I can say is WOW!! Sweet shooter. Its 50# @29". Its about 42-43# @ my albatross like 27" draw. Feels more like 35# to me, buttery smooth. Quiet, yep. I have this one flinging xx75 2018 with serious authority. Makes a big thumo when they hit foam. Hits where I aim. Grips can be made custom out of a clay impression of your own grip.
This one is made out of a harvested by hand curly maple and walnut (???).
Made by an up and coming bowyer out of Oregon.
Very pretty bow there. Cant say that you see tips like that too often.
That is a good looking bow...very unique tips.
Really forward riser too, interesting looking bow.
Kirk is a great friend of mine and he builds a neat bow. His bows were right in the top bows speedwise at the Walk the Talk. Like in top 5 and they have a definitive style all their own. I built a bow for Kirk McBride in Alaska out of that same maple. It is really some nice stuff.
Kirk has BigFoot Archery. He also builds a three piece takedown of the same style bow. You won't go wrong dealing with Kirk or getting one of his bows. Merry Christmas, Steve
contact info???????
I like it....those tips are really cool....nice riser design too.
bayoulongbowman you've got a pm
That is a realy nice looking bow.
I have three of Kirk's bows, one for my wife and two for me when I couldn't decided between maple and walnut and got both.
You won't find a better guy to deal with and I've certainly never found a bow with less hand shock than his. He absolutely stands behind his work.
He'll also keep you as involved in the building process as you want, which is both good and bad. It's good because you know what's going on; it's bad because seeing it being built keeps reminding you that you don't have it yet.
Is there a web-site or contact info, I'd like to see the 3 piece take -down model. Thanx,...Lloyd
Pretty bow..
I will be shooting the same bow as shown above....real soon... RIGHT BMG!?!?!?! :0) I will weigh in on this thread when that time comes. I've heard nothing but good about them so far and they flip an arrow just a hair shy of a Centaur in FPS.... That is something to be said...for both Kirk and Jimmy...
Ernie
I really like the design, and that wood is awesome! Congrats!!
I was just sitting back looking at this on my bowrack and really the pics do not do justice to this bow! Curly maple is my new favorite.
Ernie, mmmm, ahhhhhh, yeah I'll ........................................
Kirk builds a very nice bow. That curly maple is some he harvested himself.
Kirk gave me a bunch of that wood that is so full of bullets that I'm waiting to build a one of a kind heavy target bow out of it LOL. Seriously full of bullets but absolutely gorgeous. Next time I get some from him I'm asking for unleaded.
I'll vouch for Kirk. I have Sasquatch #1 and it is a fantastic bow. It is light as a feather and totally dead in the hand. Kirk has his limb timing down pat! They are very quick, very stable and very pleasant to shoot. Not too bad to look at either. I'll have to see if I can get some pics to put up here.
This one that BMG listed is a traveler. It was at my house for a while and is everything he says it is.
ttt
"Look Away" "Look Away" Another great bow!
I can't look at anymore of these posts with great looking bows......it'll end up costing me a divorce!
Nice looking bow...
Great looking bow, it has a look all its own. The tips look awsome. Id like to give one of these a whirl sometime. Is he planning on attending any events this summer coming up?
Thats some cool wood in the riser.
Where can I find out about the 3 piece? It looks like a possibility. Anyone have photos of a 3 piece. Also, it is a traveller bow? Does that mean it's a test bow?
Thanks
I'm not sure if he will be attending events this summer. I'll ask. Yes this is a traveling bow visiting people around the USA for them to test.
You see the attention for the details..very nice bow, congrats.
very nice bow ..you send it to me for an indepth study..

You will have to check out another trad site that that holds the walk the talk event to see the pictures of his 3 piece. For some reason I am not supposed to mention the name of said web site here. I guess there is a fear that someone might PIRATE it or something. Hint, hint...

Kirk is good people and builds an awesome bow!
Never seen tips like that on anything, nice, really looks good with the black glass.
I didn't read all the posts, so this might have already been posted, but his bows are very reminiscent of some of the early Pearson recurves.
Nice to see some of those old styles returning!
Super Sharp Bow - I like
very nice bow
